Please give me opinion RCF or Civic type R
I always wanted a RCF when it first release and around last year when I test drove the LC500 and fell in love with the interior, gauge and the exhausts note. I know you can always add the exhausts to the RCF but I refer the LC sounds. I love the Ultral sonic blue color which LC didnt have. Fast forward this summer Im happen to look at the civic type R and I did get to test drove one for a little bit. The type R is really nice I know it is a FWD, if you can tune it a little bit with hondata flash ecu, exhausts, cai, and down pipe then it would match the speed of the RCF. I l prefer the V8 sound but from the LC500. Civic Type R current offered with mark up around 43k OTD. I can find a used RCF below 50k. Im confused and stressed out. Should I wait for future used LC500? Thanks for every input. Anyone here waiting for the new Supra. The matter of time is waiting game.

Well if you buy a type R you own a Civic. If you buy an RCF well....
For me there is no comparison.
I live in a college town and every upper middle class 20 something has a Type R around here.
The other car the 20 somethings drive here like crazy is new BMW M3 and M4. This is what every rich college kid drives.
I have never seen another RCF.

Apples to oranges really. Type R is a FWD based platform created to be a hot hatchback. Being FWD, while much lighter, it still has over 60% of the weight over the front axle while RCF is a high-revving N/A V8 RWD luxury 2 door touring sports car with a 53/47 weight distribution. Even with mods on, the RCF would still be quicker at higher speeds.
People typically don't cross shop between these two cars since they are for different target demographics. I used to be a FWD sport compact guy who extensively modded his car.
Regarding LC500, While LC500 stock exhaust sounds better than the RCF stock exhaust, but with aftermarket exhaust options like Armytrix etc., RCF has much better exhaust sounding options than that of the LC500. It also nets 20 whp on the dyno. LC500 has more luxury and more amenities, but RCF is about 350 lbs lighter than the LC500 and overall smaller and more nimble.
This car in my opinion, sounds a lot better than the stock LC500. Also, it is making 465 whp

Civic type R is very nice and love it in stock form exterior wise. But the F is just a different beast. It’s got tons of power after you install the headers and exhaust. The F just pulls it has amazing traction. FWD & turbo you can’t get far you will be pissed when a Subaru launches on you. The F hooks and pulls hard with no torque steer. Get the F you won’t regret it plus it’s a Lexus. Major upgrade with dealer support in the long run.

I wouldn't say that but this is a Lexus forum and your answer isn't surprising. I think the Civic Type R performs well for what it is, I've never seen anyone cross shop a new one vs used RC F but that's what poster is dealing with.

You are probably righ in this. The Lexus forum is probably slightly biased towards Lexus.
Whatever, I find the "versus" in this case very biased. The RCF is a modern Gran Turismo car, when the Civic Type-R is a compact sportscar. One is powered by a sexy V8, the other by a classical 4 cylinder.
... two very different beasts.
Yet, for the esthetics... I have real problems with the lines of the Honda Civic Type-R. But it's totally subjective.
