Default For those with CF parts from Japan

Guys I am receiving my Rowen CF parts direct from Japan after just 4 weeks....I have the rear spoiler lip and CF "Blades" Can someone clarify for me...do these CF parts not have UV clear coat on them?
If not...can I just spray them myself with a can of UV clear coat...or must it be done by a shop?..surely its the same stuff out of a can?

I have received CF parts from Japan, Tom's, Lexon, Skipper, Rowen, etc. The rowen rear bumper extensions weren't clear coated. I used a two part clear coat in a can from Spray Max. Make sure you get the Glamour Clear if you want it glossy. It's good stuff.

Thank you for the response..did you have to lightly sand it to prep it...or just spray it directly on?...and where can you recommend me to get the Glamour Clear please?

I used gray scotch brite to lightly scuff the surface for good paint adhesion. I get the clear coat from either Napa auto parts or any auto paint supply store. I guess you can also get it through amazon. Just look up spray max 2K glamour clear.

I ordered my Toms CF parts from Josh with Meraki. Even though they come in from Japan with clear coat he also recommended to add clear coat. I'm not good with adding myself so i took to a local shop. Good luck with your CF and build! It will look Great.

I agree, ^^^ I re-sprayed the Lexon kit since the clearcoat looked really thin. I believe the Tom's is the same way. The Skipper (front lip), however, I did not re-spray and it's holding up pretty well. I'll probably have it film protected next Spring though.
