someome on Reddit was telling me that the exhaust is different now and doesn't sound like that anymore .Which was news to me, because the exhaust sound in that video is beautiful.

Do you know why two different people on Reddit would tell me it sounds different now? They mentioned they cracked their mid pipe and got it replaces with a new one and they said it changed the sound for the worst. He even said they email GtHaus and asked why and began to say they had a overhaul the exhaust .

For me, the real problem is that they cracked a midpipe. This shouldn't occur under any circumstances. Was the rest of the car stock or did they tune it ? And was the midpipe the OEM one or another version ?

They didn't say, just said that they cracked their GtHaus exhaust mid pipe and got a new one sent from them that was also GtHaus and they said it made their car sound different.
Then someone else was saying he remembered when GtHaus sounded good and now it sounds like a normal muscle car.

Acoustic evaluation are a rather tricky domain. When you had an "event" with a sound creating device, like those guy's had, then you will be very attentive to little things, that you weren't aware of before. But it could very likely be, that those sound characteristics where always there, but they ignored them, because they where happy with their new exhaust. When the new part came after the midpipe crack, they focused clearly on their exhaust ; not focusing of the overall pleasure, but if "everything stayed the same", and because of that, they focused on maybe already existing sound apsects.

This is a possibility, but the evaluation of sounds is a complex discipline ; better said, it's a science. And possibility of bias are numerous.

That's a very good explanation and I also did email GtHaus and they finally replied and told me it sounds the same. No difference in sound.

What?.... with all the money you saved not buying an RCF you should buy a couple exhaust systems!

Imagine the fun you will have!

With the price of a Lexus RCF Exhaust and two wheels, you would be able to buy a wonderful Daihatsu Wake.
