9. What is the price of the the OEM brakepads and brake rotors, and around which mileage is it recommended to change the one or the other ?

10. I heard a big service/inspection is needed around 50k Miles. He has a reputation to be costly. What amount of costly is meant (I couldn't find numbers about this statement) ?

11. I think I have read that the car was updated after a time. The 2015 version is known to have a simple suspension design, without any electronic stiffening device. If I understand it right, it was modified later on, offering the same stiffening system than for the f-sport models. When was this introduced ?

12. As I was confirmed by a youtube tester, the RCF isn't equipped with any kind of setup method to adjust the drivetrain geo in toe or pinch. Will it not be a problem when you change your wheels for different models ?

9. About $3100 CAD all including labor + tax all in here. It might be different in Europe since you have VAT and different pricing structure etc.

10. There might be compared to say a IS/RC/GS 350 etc, but you have to think of it as a high performance car with everything built to very high tolerances and when you compare apples to apples, RCF is surprisingly cheaper to maintain compared to other cars with similar performance/handling capabilities. You have to pay to play.

11. Yes, my 2015 has non-adjustable suspension. In 2017+, they started offering adjustable variable dampers as standard that gave ability to soften or stiffen it based on the mode you select. 2018+ has a custom mode available where you can program your own settings combo. It is a completely different system than the F-sport AVS. In its stiffest settings, it is more or less just as stiff as a non-AVS 2015/2016 RCF (I have driven an IS350 F-sport with AVS and RCF is a lot stiffer than the IS. Don't let anyone tell you the AVS system is from the F-sport)

12. Probably, but never heard of anyone having issues with aftermarket wheels/tires.

Thanks Rolla. Yes, I'm also convinced that this car is a great perf/price/quality ratio. And yes, apples should be compared with apples. Fun fact, this morning, I was able to find the response to the point on question 10. It's around 800£. I was surprised, because I grew up near a Ferrari+Lamborghini garage, and a "costly service" was another price point (for a car with same performance though). So I was calculating that the price of this service would have been high. It was a mistake, 800 pounds, it's just marginally more expensive than some Audi or VW for their great service. It's actually very cheap compared to the performance of the car.

I own a 2017 RCF with the Ride Rolla explained in Post# 23. I have the "Premium Package" which gave me the Moon Roof, etc. I opted for this over the Performance Package with the famous TVD and Slalom Mode Setting - I defiantly drive the car hard using Manual Shift in Sport S+ but it will never see a track with the mods I have on it. Out of all the cars I looked at before this, I am so content with my selection! Now all I see are Mustangs, Covettes, Beemers and the list goes on. There's another thread in here you may want to look at since it lists all of our Likes & Dislikes. IMHO- there isn't a single reason I would NOT get this car, especially if you like driving an extremely comfortable "Luxury" Sportscar! It isn't my money your spending, but if you are here asking questions - you must have your eye on one of these beauties?

1. What size are the door speakers? They appear to be bigger than a standard 6.5", so I'm guessing 8 inches?
2. In my shopping so far I've seen a few RC F's with CF or black(?) roofs... is that part of a specific package or an add on?
3. Front license plates... hate 'em, but don't want to rule out a car if they are only mounted with a removable bracket.
4. I've seen a few vehicles with a dash button that looks to be a rear window washer/wiper?
5. I had a DVD bypass in my '08, and it looks like Beatsonic makes one for the RC F... any other manufacturers make them that are worth considering?
6. Why so many '15's for sale, but hard to find a '16 or '17?-
7. I know the RC-F is rather heavy, but how is the throttle response... can this thing get out of it's own way?
Thanks in advance for any info!
Without going into detail on all of your points, ANNNND knowing that these links have most definitely been posted within this Forum (By Rolla of course) I figured they may help you out a little to read some of the good things about being a RCF Owner. I thought these were pretty good articles despite what some other publications say:

https://carbuzz.com/reviews/a-week-w...ng-about-lexus

https://carbuzz.com/features/the-lexus-rc-f-is-a-used-bargain-with-a-throaty-v8

I
didn't care for this one too much though. (Getting in an out of my 17 is a breeze now that I have a Custom Flat Bottom Steering Wheel

The question for you now is- what year to buy used......unless you go brand new? The 18s should be easy to find relatively fair now. Hell I went 400 miles to get mine!

I'm back... still looking at RCF's and came up with more questions, so I'll pick up where Benoit left off;
13. It seems like on '16 & '17 models, if the car is listed with the Performance PKG, it has orange calipers... is that accurate?
14. I've noticed that in most of the photos posted of black interiors, the center section almost looks navy blue... or maybe my eyes are failing me?

Not all RCF came with "real leather". Some with "fake leather"or "NuLux"?

The "real leather" was an extra cost OPTION and will be listed on the print out.

From '16 onwards, the orange calipers were an option for the Performance and non-Performance cars. I've seen Performance PKG cars with black calipers.

Your eyes aren't failing you. I have a black interior and there is a subtle navy bluish hue in the leather.
