Put mine on yesterday. Very easy install, took an hour, but I go really slow and careful when working on my own car.

It looks excellent and the engineering is sound.

I think it is an excellent product to help get more cold air into the air box.

I have this coming in tomorrow. Does anyone have pics of what exactly has to be cut?

The top picture shows the cut. You can see that it opens up into the fender and lets more cold air in.

hey you said the engineering is sound? Care to elaborate that and also, any difference in acceleration?

I think the engineering is very sound. The heat shield basically forms a larger air box that pulls colder air from the fender. In my opinion it is a very clever solution to get more cool air in the air box. Plus the carbon fiber looks great. After looking at it you could literally build one out of sheet metal, although it would look terrible and I believe you should pay R&R racing for their idea.

I drove my car very hard yesterday. The air was in the 50 degree range with high humidity ( overcast) here in Northern California. I took my car out in the country for some hard pulls. Since the roads were cool and my tires not getting to full heat I was loosing traction off the line. It feels faster on a day when the tarmac and tires are warmer. Since traction makes a bigger difference than 11 claimed horsepower would. I also doubt I would feel the difference even in perfect conditions.

Not sure i would call "sound" if you have hack any part of your car to fit it correctly. Just my opinion.

I don't know what you have against R&R racing, but cutting an opening in some non essential plastic trim to scavenge more cold air is not hacking. I would say there is zero hacking going on with this mod.

Anyway, the good news is you don't have to buy it!

what did you use to hack the plastic? A butter knife? That buddy looks like what it is a hack job. By the way its a shield, not gaining any additional cold air flow by using it.

thermal tests prove otherwise. Look at the the data they post with it on the website. Significantly cooler air temps being pulled in. And why are you bashing this guys cutting abilities?
smh

Why are you so angry. I just don't think we are going to be friends.

I wish you the best.
