Anyone run Radard detector decectors on here. I live in ontario canada where they happen to be illegal however there are some radar detectors that are undetectable. Thinking about picking up a Uniden R1 or R3. Just wondering what everyone else has?

Funny thing ,,my friend just bought a Tesla Model 3...and he bought the Uniden R3...he said it was rated Number 1...so whatever that's worth. It sounds like you are on the right track

Uniden R3 Mirror mounted. Previously had Passport 9500ix. Main reason I switched was the blind spot monitoring was giving to many false alarms. R3 has been great. Looked briefly at the 360 Max, but was more expensive and lower rated.

I actually have an Escort Max 360 paired with an escort M1 dash cam both are mounted with a Blendmount.....love the set up, no complaints here

You guys above are correct....the Uniden R3 is the Best Portable Radar Detector on the market. Unfortunately, Virginia is the last State that has a ban on them. (Therefore Stealth is key!) The fully installed Passports are so much better than Portables, but costly!!

I use Valentine One and Waze. I really love the Valentine One for the arrows saying were it's picking up the signal and for the updates. I can mail my Valentine One to them when they update their systems for a fraction of a new radar detector.

Do not run Valentine 1 in Ontario, you'll get picked up by the Spectre 4 or Specture 5. (RDD's)

I'm not sure how Uniden does against RDD's, I don't believe that has been tested as of yet.

You'll need to run an Escort/Beltronics unit that is not detected by one of these, as well as paying close attention to where you install it.

Alternatively, you can go with the Beltronics STiR+.

No radar detector is worth much in Georgia anymore. Most speed traps are laser now.
