Default RC F Pre-collision system

Hey all,

Is it possible to turn off the pre-collision system permanently or while in sport/normal mode? The pre-collision system has given me some close calls. I was weaving through some tight traffic (gingerly, not recklessly) and I got close to the bumper of a vehicle in front of me as I merged into another lane. The pre-collision system slammed on my brakes for 2-4 seconds. This really pissed off the 18-wheeler behind me. He probably thought I was doing it on purpose or something. It's incredibly frustrating having this system constantly throttling or braking hard on me suddenly.

Thank you!

There are several other Threads here which may help answer some of your questions:

You should definitely do an introductory thread with plenty of pics,, and what Mods you may have done. Again...Welcome!!

button is next to obd 2 port. can hardly see it gonna have to lay on your back. had one similar incident to yours and turned it off immediately. not a good feature for a sports car that's driven the way it should be.

Turned it off in the GS F too. Permanently. Shortly after a similar incident with a tractor trailer. It's way too conservative for my driving style.

just keep it off with that button under the steering wheel. that stuff is dangerous to keep on if you are driving more aggressive

tire pressure initialize button. Inflate and check pressures and then press and hold to
tell the car the tires are all set.

Why would I need to ever press this button? Shouldn't the car continuously monitor tire pressure?

Yes it does but when a tire goes out of range and triggers the warning light/chime you need to
reset it after the tires are at the correct pressure. Had a guest come into the store with the TPMS
light on and discovered that they had overinflated the tire to 75 psi! Way out of range!
