Default Cold air intake

Im wondering what the general consensus is about a cold air intake on the RCF. I bought my F back in July and only have done cosmetic changes, besides getting a new exhaust hopefully soon I was thinking about a cold air intake. Do you think its worth the money or are their other mods that get more power and ultimately give the car a better/faster experience?

General consensus is aftermarket intakes don't improve performance. Besides intake sytems, there is a carbon fiber heat shield option from RR Racing.
Personally, I went with the AEM system that combines a heat shield and intake with better filter.

Have never read anything stating why our cars would require this. For me, money can be spent better on other options, unless the cosmetic change of a cold air intake appeals to you.
Seen some data showing some improvement at wide open throttle, so if your car is there a majority of the time, maybe it's of some use?

Does the AEM intake have the opening to the fender to pull in more air? I know this was a bit of a complaint about the other heat shield unless you made minor modifications.

Edit: It looks like you have to cut the plastic either way you go if you want to pull in air from the fender.
