Default Effects?

Curious how your car feels and performs after the weight loss?

It does feel better for sure. Like you know how it feels to drive fast with a passenger then they get out and boom your car feels a lil better. Lol. My car put down 468whp off the nitrous. So it would have to compared to a FBO car as far as acceleration benefits. So basically all on one swoop I took off 150 lbs I definitely can tell.

If I wanted speed, this surely isn't the car I would've picked. I wanted exactly what the RCF is....

If any one wanted to know the weight of the rcf rear seats ans back brace

Bottom cushion 18.2
Back cushion. 19.4
Rear brace. 8.5
Hardware seat buckles and mounts 1.1 😅

Around another 47 lbs dropped....... However, if you have a full exhaust it is loud as hell. Further more, I suggest leaving in the rear brace if you doing a track event.

I’m sure it’s loud w/o the seats as insulation.
Surprised you took the brace out. Can you feel any diff when cornering?

not really no. Raft said he had his out and not really notice anything. It honestly not mega loud. Yes seats out got louder too. But the v8 sounds wild under full throttle

so does anyone make a lightweight rear seat top and bottom substitute? Something for aesthetics, but also weight savings and sound proofing. Maybe not meant to be sat on

Not that I know of TRD makes a supplement brace that covers or replaces the steel brace made if carbon. I could easy fab some covers panels out of styro foam or foam and carpet. Its not hard at all to remove and replace. About 20 mins.

I can attest on how easy it is to remove back seats. I had them out to locate a rattle (wasn't there). I'm more concerned with looks. That said, something more rigid, but lined with the best dynamat and something for squeaks. Light enough, could be held in place with velcro. Maybe some custom artwork or logo How much do you think could be saved realistically to dump the rear seats?

Basically exactly what I said 47lbs. The rear seabets mechanisms have airbag restraint system connectors attached so resesistors would have to come in to play to fully delete those for another 5 to 7 lbs

Where is this information confirmed? I could've sworn the stock hood was aluminum and weighs well under 50 lbs from the get go... but I'll be happy to take mine off and weigh it if it hasn't been listed elsewhere already.

LRC - good work on the savings so far... it's a shame SPARCO doesn't still have the Roadster seat, I still have one hanging around, but those were the same lightness as what you went with, but way easier for street use while being one of the most comfy fixed seats(with the optional lumbar pad) I've ever used.

Thank you. I always wondered what the rear seats weighed. I would not pull them as the car has to look good to me. I think I have seen cars somewhere with rear seat delete kits that cover the sheet metal and look good and save weight. That would be a cool product for the RCF. 47 pounds is a big savings.
