Default How to loose 260lbs in a Rcf.

Have reached 261lbs!!!

*update rear seats added to the savings 4/30/19*

Hey guys I'm going to put together how I was able to lose approximately 200lbs off my Rcf. I am going to try and be as accurate as possible. So there could be some variation to your results or even mine. I am going to include the parts I removed ans replaced with what parts and provide links to parts purchased. I am going to add photos that I provide in the post slot below this. I may also make changes when I triple check

All of the follow units are in US Pounds

1. Seibon carbon rear wing. -3 lbs
2. Engine cover. -2
3. Racing brake 2 piece rotors front and rear -28
4. Motegi titanium lug nuts. -2
5. Trunk inner trim, under rear deck trim,
Rear rear cover (inside trunk) -5
6. Apexi N1 cat back exhaust. -15
7. RR racing lithium battery. -37
8. Stock air pump and tire fill liquid. -4
9. Stock jack. -5
10. Bottom cushion 18.2
11. Back cushion. 19.4
12. Rear brace. 8.5
Hardware seat buckles and mounts 1.1

(((And now the big one. This requires removing both front seats. Which weigh 71lbs each for a total of 142)))

10. Remove front seats, add 1 Sparco Qrt-r Racing. seat(15lbs), add sparco side mount brackets(5lbs), add
Planted seat technology driver seat mount (7
lbs) for
2wd 2006-13 IS250-350. Subtract 114lbs!

So my total came out too. 261 lbs removed!!. Now for the some of the photos and links

The seat is on its way. Will have a 100% accurate weight for that after its all bolted up.

Are you running those lug nuts with OEM wheels or aftermarket? They are the wrong style for OEM wheels and could cause more problems than they solve with OEM wheels. I've actually been looking for lighter lug nuts, but the OEM style (mag seat) lugs are not well supported by the aftermarket. Picture courtesy https://www.brandsport.com/howdoifirilu.html

I believe I saved 1 lb per front and lost a pound each in rear. Have to double check I don't have my oem wheels and tires. Also i updated the above weights.

I’m running the same Ti lugs. Never weighed them but surprised it was only 2 lbs savings.
May be 2 lbs vs after market alloy lugs?
Those steel oem lugs are heavy!

Good job Ry. Now you gotta get coil overs to save even more. The stock struts are super heavy.
