I've bought cars in the US before and imported them, but not the other way around. With the US strong dollar, I'd consider this side of the border if I was you.

You have to pay tax for sure, and an AC fee which is around the 200$ mark. You have to show that the car has had all it's recalls performed and that's about it really. I remember afterwards I had to do a inspection to make sure it's "Canadian fit" which was having the speedo changed to km instead of miles which I changed digitally through the settings.
Keep in mind, on a Canadian model, I don't believe the warranty is valid in the US.

I inquired about this at some point and from US to Canada it wasn’t in 2010 and later they changed that and many manufacturers accepted that its interchangeable.

Just thought I would post this one that just popped up if anyone is near Georgia area. Priced well but has an accident on carfax and showed mechanical? damage when i searched the vin and found on this auction site. Somewhat questionable but figured could pass it on to others.

Was just about to post this one as well....Fully loaded with performance pack.

Seemed like a great deal until I noticed the accident on the carfax. Really nothing on the auction site showing any damage and carfax doesnt specify so it's kinda a gamble without being able to inspect in person closely.

Just based on this, in the first line of the description: TMU (True mileage unknown), I'd stay away.

Going to call this week on the "new" 5k miles one in New York and give them an offer. Wish I could find a close member that could go check it out. I may look into the one in Canada just worried about all the added fees and logistics. The smart thing to do would wait for a closer one to pop up but what fun would that be.

Does anyone have any production numbers for the Molten RC-F's?

I've seen numbers for the RC-F overall, but never a breakdown by color, much less with performance pack.
Would be interesting to see how many Molten's with PP were actually made.

Call a point of entry and ask for the import department. I used the Alexandria point of entry for both my last cars that I imported from the US. You’ll get the break down to see if it’s worth it. With your strong dollar, I think it would be worth it.

Just buy mine. I rarely drive it. I drove it for the 1st time in 5.5 months last Friday to the Longo Lexus Friday night meet.

SKGT,

I've seen the one in GA in person and took pictures of the car. IMO the previous owner drove over a curb and down a bank as there is scratches under the car, side skirt lifted up, front bumper damage (lower section) and the rear bumper has scratches. the exhaust tips are also flattened on both sides but I think that is because of a tow truck lifting and pulling as they are pretty evenly bent.

My brother is looking for the same thing you are and that is why I looked so carefully over it.

Thanks Tuscani,

The dealer on the NY one has called me twice. Haven't gotten back with them yet so maybe they do want to finally move that "new" one. Also saw 1 or 2 pop in Florida that may be worth looking at. I'm not in a rush and hope your brother can snag something good. BoostedGS's car is one of the nicest examples ever.

the Florida cars should be your priority if your buying one with miles
the suspension will be like new due to the roads compared to northeast

good luck

That one looks well taken care of based on the pictures. The paint looks great. I wish the mileage was a bit lower, 15-20k. Thanks for posting. Are you going to move on the GA car CK?
