Why does Lexus keep marketing the RC F Track Edition!? We're never going to get one!
Like the title says. Every review, every picture, every video is on the 2020 RC F Track Edition. Why do they keep pushing this? There's only going to be 50 sold in the US!! Even if you want one and can afford one you probably can't get it. Where's the info for the normal 2020 RC F for us middle class folks. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!!!

Same thing Honda did with the Type R. At end of day these cars are halo/hype cars and they hope to attract buyers and lookers into the dealership and push them into other vehicles.
I spoke to a Lexus dealer and they made it sound like if I wanted one I can get one but I’ll believe that when it’s in my garage! Another Lexus dealer said they don’t sell enough of the RCF/LC and the dealers that do will get the Track Edition allocations.

It is to promote the brand and create a new image for Lexus.
Plus if they start selling like hot cakes they may make more.
Now that the RCF is basically at a 100K for the track edition, I personally would also look at the Nissan GTR or a Porsche 911 also. It is now getting into that price class. Both of those are 2 cars I would like to someday own.

I have spent time in a GTR and it was a blast to drive but not a car I want to buy used for the $$$ people ask. I also have looked into Porsche and have spent a week in a modified 911 S but the maintenance and challenge of working on them keeps me away for now.The Lexus is reliable and easy to work on so I may try and pursue a Track model.

What color would you get

White would be the color I would buy. The Matte Nebula looks good but I am not sure how I would feel about it down the road.

I love the weight savings and all but no turbo/sc and the spoiler on it makes no sense to me though for the price tag. Such a let down. For less than 50 in the US sold, its very disappointing.

Actually my dealer (where I recently bought my 10th Anniversary Edition) reached out to me and said that the number of Track models going to be offered works out to about 1 for every five dealerships. They found out if they gave Lexus a name of someone who may be interested they may get an allocation. They also said there would be no obligation to buy so I let them use my name (I have owned my fair share of Lexus products). They informed me a few weeks later that Lexus told them they were going to get one...a week later they were told they will get a white one (color that I asked for).
You have to realize that this dealership is in North Scottsdale, AZ...which is a huge car enthusiast area...Barrett Jackson comes here and many top shows and events. Heck last weekend at the Scottsdale C&C there was a La Ferrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and a ton of exotics, muscle cars and the Asian row was full of GTR's, NSX, etc...oh and my RCF...LOL
Oh and BTW this dealership has a Yellow LFA for sale in the show room...it has 125 miles on it and they are asking $530K.
SO then the rest of the story...since they are getting a Track Edition the dealer contacted me this past Monday and said they are getting a ton of interest and I may want to consider putting a down payment if truly interested. I told them I am NOT and love my 10th Anniversary Edition. They were fine with that and thanked me for using my name to get the Track Edition coming to their dealership. This should be interesting but I figure at least I will get to see one

I heard the same thing but basically allocations would be given to dealers that sell the most RCF/LC cars. Also heard that 15 or so were headed to the west coast regions.

Confirmed by our area sales manager. 15 in the Lexus Western Area. We were lucky to get 1 allocated.

Any idea when the cars will arrive?
Is your allocation spoken for?
