Default Going from 19 to 20 inch wheel ride quality

Hi, I'm about to treat myself to some 20 inch Vossen wheels, the thought has crossed my mind about ride quality. I'll be going from a 35 profile tyre to a 30 profile tyre the front the same width but the rear a little wider. Is there any deterioration in the ride quality? My car also has AVS which I like very much so I'd imagine it may help with a smoother ride if going bigger does have an effect.

Thought the same thing myself going up to 20s, but have to admit - I never noticed anything whatsoever on ride quality.
However, now that you will be going with a Low Profile setup, you need to be EXTREMELY cautious about what you ride over from now on! Hit a pothole on The Beltway last month which dented the wheel so forcefully it literally sliced the sidewall of the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S-redering both useless. Once the new Wheel & Tire arrives next week they're going up for sale somewhere, and Im returning to staggered 19s to put more rubber between wheel and road! Good luck w the Vossen's , they were one brand I was looking at myself but decided on something else instead. Summary: You wont really notice much by bumping up to the 20s....

Thanks I was hoping for minimal difference in the ride. Believe me the roads here in the UK are just as bad, some of our roads are more akin to Third World status for sure.

My sled is sitting on 20" Vossen's, my car is lowered and it's not bad at all. I slow down for speed bumps and avoid pot holes like anyone else would so you don't tear stuff up. At highway speeds you feel it in the seat of your pants like you would any sports car. Post up pics when it's done!

Thanks, ideally I'd like my car to be a bit lower but I have concerns over whether with AVS it's a good idea.
