I hope they’re not charging over sticker!

Check to see if any rebates also!

Right now I think 2500$ rebate on RC-F, I am pushing for a bigger discount

The car is just too pricey

A lot of dealers are marking it up which is crazy.
I think the car is worth it’s msrp if your after a modded car from the factory. Anything under is a better deal!

Not sure what price you are looking for? You knew the price when you committed to it? I would find it unlikely they will give you a huge discount off of MSRP. I can tell you after 2000 miles it is worth it.

Finding one at MSRP, is already a difficult thing. Getting a $2500 discount off a track edition is even more unlikely. Not sure what else are you expecting? The Supras are selling for $15,000 mark ups over MSRP. Track edition is a lot more exclusive and higher quality so finding it below MSRP is pretty much as good as it is going to get.

All the TE's I see are getting the 2500$ rebate though, I want at least 7k$ off, I'd be happier with 10k$ off

I did not know the price when I got into it, I just put down the deposit

I'm just not sure it's worth the difference from my IS-F, IS-F forum guys are on the same page

Supras have a lot of mind share, the Lexus doesn't

You definitely will lose this allocation. They won't discount $7K for a car this exclusive. You are letting the ISF guy tell you that it is not worth it? Those carbon ceramic brakes alone are $15K upgrade over the standard RCF 6/4 piston steel brakes, which already are great. Maybe, you should heed the advice of the ISF guys and keep the ISF.

I'm not worried, it's just a car

There is a saying along the lines of "the price being forgotten, but the joy of the item staying", I'm the exact opposite

I get joy out of a killer deal haha

Even the IS-F I was thinking of selling, maybe turn down the RC-F TE, trade in the IS-F, and do the new Corolla Hybrid it looks amazing

Vraa..

Typically in a flooded market I've seen $5 to $7k "trunk money" as they like to call it.. To get them off the lots and sold.

If Lexus is sitting on too many "F"s the starting point of a $2500 rebate makes sense on the standard F.

Can the dealership swing the rebate in your direction, absolutely...

Do they have to sell the TE lower than MSRP, no they don't..

I'm even more shocked Lexus has allowed the Market Adustment / Mark Up on these, as its never been part of the brand logic in the past. Not even on the unsold LFA units that lingered for years...

Would be an exceptional deal, if they allowed dealer invoice and the rebate..

However, Lexus USA is not sitting on hundreds or thousands of overstocked units.. They learned the "hard way" from the 2008 mistakes..

Best of luck and let us know their final offer..

Joe Z

100% agreed on all your points

As of now they are not budging beyond the 2500$ rebate

I have a few weeks to make a final decision, until then I expect restless nights

I bought my TE mid July and agreed to msrp.
Dealer sent me final numbers and included a $2500 rebate I was unaware of which was nice and I was amazed because most dealers would’ve not applied it especially since at the time it wasn’t listed anywhere online. I was glad to get the car especially in summer. My dealer said my next opportunity would probably be Nov or so and that’s rain season in Seattle.

Cali dealers have markup all over the board at 7k over to 50k over and the cars are sitting. IMHO you may be able to get tint or clear bra thrown in but I don’t think you can do much better then $2500 under. Maybe if it sits long enough you can save a couple bucks but it also has depreciated a couple bucks more at that point.

Keep us posted!

Agree on the joy of a deal. I'm not paying MSRP, let alone a markup on a car. Not even for the last ICE car in an all electric world. It makes it so special and costly that you can't even put miles on it. They can keep it, I'll find something else.

I would say keep your ISF. If you don't love the RCF, just wait, for something you really want. If buying a car is just about getting the best deal that is seriously boring. I want to buy things I really want. I never want to buy a good deal. Yet, I want a good deal.

When I bought my RCF it was emotional. I knew I wanted the car. The deal was less important than the car. I had this dream about getting out and driving and the fun I would have. Whats amazing is the dream came true. I love my RCF!

I won't buy another car sports car until I feel that again.

Try ordering a Ferrari. It’s MSRP, every time. You wanna play then you gotta pay. Many will pass but you can miss out on a whole lot of fun over a few bucks. If you love it then pay for it. If it doesn’t matter that much then let it go. Someone else will be happy to pay and enjoy it.
