Last 6 of VIN, your Build Sequence. What's your Build #?
The last 6 of your VIN will generally give the sequence of Build, most of us know that. But it tells you more: My VIN is 000217, so mine was the 217th Built RC-F in the World...kinda cool that it probably came off in the 1st couple of weeks of production. Canadian destination and spec'd. ZERO issues with anything on this car.
Small definition of the last 6:
WHAT THE LAST SIX DIGITS OF A VIN REALLY TELLS US
The last six digits of a VIN reveal the vehicle’s regular production options (RPO) and is also commonly referred to as its serial number. While many car enthusiasts note that these last six digits represent the sequential production number(which is true), there’s more to the story. What many are not aware of is that this number also identifies the factory options fitted onto the vehicle during production.
What are RPOs? They are options such as trim, traction control, blind spot sensors, rear-view cameras, and parallel-park assist. But such options are just the beginning. A quick build online of a 2016 BMW 328 xDrive Touring provides a selection of 2 engine types, 2 lines, 3 trims, 4 packages, and over 50 exterior, interior, safety, and technology options to choose from. This is where the RPO becomes important. These last six digits identify all of the factory fitted options, as provided by the manufacturer—imagine it as the vehicle’s ‘DNA.’
Mine says, 003228. Build date was November 2015 on the door jamb. Most likely it was one of the very last 2015s almost a 2016 model year car.
Same here, no issues whatsoever with 17,000 KM on the ODO. Just need to replace tires with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which I will do in April of 2020 as I have only two more months left of driving.

Build Date on mine was 09/2014. So from Sept 2014 - Nov 2015 with mine being #217 and yours #3228, means 3011 were built in 60 weeks or 50 Built p/week on average.
so built in the 1st 4 weeks of Production around August 2014....wonder if anyone has a Top 100 Build?
Seems that the Canadian models were built at the beginning, hmmm, wonder why? All the CDN spec RC-F are fully loaded with only 1 spec, maybe that's why.
Out of curiosity, I went online to see what the VINs were for some of the new 2020 RC-F (non track editions) to get a sense for where we are. I did not look very long, but it appears Lexus is up to somewhere around 7500 RCFs produced worldwide at this point. I saw a VIN with the last six being something like 007440. I also saw a 2019 with a VIN of 007224 which lines up pretty well with the numbers.
So for those of you wondering how rare are cars are, going in to the 6th year of production, it appears only 7500 have been made worldwide.
I'm going to pin this thread, because this question comes up quite a bit.
edit: I totally forgot to put my own up. It's 1744. My car wasn't actually titled until 2016 though. It apparently sat on the dealer's lot (or showroom) for a whole year.

Through this thread when there are enough responses and based on Forum members location, we'll be able to see which run of vehicles went to which Country etc. Through the vin's we can compile all sorts of stats based on location, prod date etc.
