when i bought mine off the lot it was a 1qt overfilled. I made them remove it and of course the excuse came "we don't get a lot of RC Fs or LC500s in here so the techs are still getting used to them" Now when i go for service, i remind my service guy about 9.3qts - put in 9 check the stick, top off. Hit him with a $20 each time i'm there, haven't had an overfill since.

Old thread but fiured I'd add my take.
Just changed the oil on my 2020 and used two gallons of amsoil oil. After using both I started the car up and it said low oil on the dash. I check the dip stick after it was level and cooled in the garage, and the oil mark is slightly above the min but not at the max mark....
Seems odd...lol
EDIT: I guess I had a brain fart. Apparently i missed the mark that there are only 4 quarts in a gallon...lol So I put 8 quarts in the RCF... whoopies. Time to go shopping for more oil.
I'm so used to every other manufacture putting in 5 quarts of oil in the normal size gallon jug, I just assumed the same with amsoil...smh.

Never had any issues with dealership putting the wrong quantity of oil. Usually the deip stick shows it is between the two marks (quite close to the max).

Hello guys
I have 2015 RC-F and I'm wondering why is the 2015 only has 9.3L engine oil capacity and 2016+ have 8.8L engine oil capacity !?
However, I put 8.8L on my 2015 RC-F And the oil dip stick shows correct level.
Does that mean Lexus catalog is wrong about the 2015 oil capacity !???
Check out picture attached.
Thank you

My 2022 owners manual says 9.3 qts.

I've had Lexus of Thousand Oaks and Lexus of Woodland Hills overfill my oil multiple times. The only ones who have not overfilled it are Tommy from Music Box and Lexus of Oxnard (so far).
