Default I wrapped my rcf

5 days later my RCF is wrapped in Avery GLOSS CARMINE RED. I did this for less than $600! For comparisons I paid $450 for my GS350 roof, wing and front bumper to be wrapped.
I did it and SO CAN YOU! If you do it yourself the tools are your receipt.....lol

SHOUT OUT to CK WRAP on Youtube.
.. this guy was my motivation and teacher
I have so much info to share........
Please take it easy on me, I love this CLUB and learned much from coming here and only want to give back.

hood and fenders done ...I wrapped under the vent/rocker, because I was keeping the wrap on the side vent

same on both sides

here is 2 of the three (QUARTER, DOOR, & driver ROCKER) pieces I cut from the pass. side....note the rolled wrap on the hood is for the driver side rocker....SHOUT OUT to my son for holding the pass. side for me to cut!

I wrapped the top of the trunk 1st ...You can see me using the trunk to hold the paper before cutting the driver sides 3pc

here I measured, marked and measured before cutting the DOOR, QUARTER, AND THE PASS. ROCKER...I started the cut high in the back due to the rear bumper stating at the same hight as the side vents...see the monkey tape shows the end of the bumper and quarter

Monkey tape and 6 magnets was my helper ...holding the paper off the floor

if you look close ....the paper for the pass rocker is sized up before laying ......this is how much wrap I cut from the bottom on the driver side starting from the rear...

rocker paper for the driver side is on the hood and the pass. rocker paper is on the car

rocker paper

lil nudity for you all....lol

keep as much as you can in the car

front done

more nudes

I used the ramps to hold the bumper as I took it off....found a how to on the CLUB

Wow, great job! That looks far beyond a home garage DIY job.

My only criticism would be that the orange calipers clash now. They'd look better black to match your theme, though I understand why you wouldn't want to paint them.

You got patience & skills !! Strong bruh !!
I’ve only wrapped a hood and few small pieces. Would never attempt a whole car. Skeered.

Looks great but wouldn’t it look even better if you cover the chrome trim with black to match the rest?

Very nice job, you did it the right way that’s forsure and didn’t have to worry about someone else cutting corners or damaging things on the car. 👍🏽

Default Diy rcf wrap write up

"Wapping a car is all about problem solving and learning as you go", Diggdy

THE NUMBERS:
Front bumper 130" length
Fender 56" length
Hood 77" x 60"
Trunk 24"

I will let the pictures and links help explain.
TOOLS and SUPPLIES: ebay, Amazon, Harbor Freight, Metro Restyle, Fellers
10 mm socket is your friend
Snack bags ...for bolts
sharpies ....label the bags...you will forget what goes to what...
Monkey tape
LED head flash lights
batteries alot of them
KNIFELESS TAPE!
Avery RED flex squeegee
MOLD N HOLD tape (for clean up)
jack
jack stands
rollong stool
ipad or laptop

YOU need this..... get 2

BFF

I KNOW....BUT I have been using them for everything.....

MOLD AND HOLD

HELP REDUCE SCRATCHES

must have for roof, quarters, trunk .....

HOOD AND FENDERS 1ST vary easy to do alone and a good way to get the nevers out......

HOOD VENT REMOVED

FENDER SIDE VENT PULLED OUT ......NOT OFF 2 screws in the wheel well and 2 clips on the vent ...just pull

'HOW TO' links I learn from.....
NOTE...I used a heat glove wet with spray wax to lay the vinyl...this keeps down on scratches, then I post heat and squeegee as needed
how to remove the hood vent

Fenders same as the hood lay with my hand using a glove squeegee later
HOW TO:

THE 3 PEICE CUT (quarter, door, and opposite side rocker)

THE BLUE PRINT

here I set the paper behind the f logo measure the rocker 1st and cut from the rear up to front green tape is my NO GO line 2nd the door is cut from above the rocker 3rd the quarters are left over... no need to cut..as seen on the video

use magnets to hold the top off the floor

extra hand...... monkey tape

127 inches.....

here is the cut out of the rocker from the driver side.....a lot of paper, which makes life easy to wrap

MY RCF WRAP PLAYLIST:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...TNiuOfncnnZ1nA

HOW TO:

HOW TO REMOVE DOOR PANEL. HANDEL and MIRRORS:

EXAMPLE ON A RC (slow videos down):

THE REAR bumper step by step with pictures. This part was a problem because the RCF has a recess in the side then it goes flat.

1st glass the center

glass the corners and pull up

3rd glass that recess

that part in the circle...hard to glass....2 moves required pull to the front squeegee , then pull up and down for glass squeegee... the top under the tail light will glass as you pull to the front
