I have owned many performance cars over the years and have regularly followed my cars on the respective enthusiast's forums. I have never heard of any reliable evidence where a CAI was a measurable performance enhancer. One drawback is that the dyno fans cannot replicate real world air intake. Some are pretty, some, not so much. If one is an active car show participant, pretty may be important. Some cheap, some not so much. If money is no object, price may not matter. Just my thoughts, but just in case, flame suit on.

^ The CAI's on the new ZR1 make one hell of a difference, almost 40 whp, dyno'd and proven!

I think the Blitz/GruppeM intake is pretty, and no, I don’t ‘show’ my car. It’s just for me to look at. The factory RCF intake sucks hot engine bay air whenever the secondary intake flap opens. The gruppem/blitz does not suck hot engine bay air at any point. Whether that makes a huge difference or not, I know hot engine bay air can’t be good. Probably negligible since Lexus/Toyota engineers
chose to design it that way in favor of the sound it makes when that flap opens. But, again, I like the idea of the engine ingesting no air from the hot engine bay and at the same time look pretty.

I like the looks of it. Similar in theory to the PasswordJDM intake I have on my RC-F....only pulls from the front like OEM but with a larger opening. Nothing pulling from inside the engine bay. I do like the extra intake tube above the headlight assembly.....
