ISF to possibly RCF
Hello all!
I'm looking to possibly get an RCF this weekend and I think I've found one and wanted to get some thoughts on the one below:
2016 Lexus RC F
Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: I ended up purchasing the car! So far so good

- Good Deal?
- Does it look lowered to you? Seems a bit low?
- Serviced at Lexus Dealership all of its life
- I keep seeing yellow brakes, battery, maintenance (is that a low warning of some sort?)
- It doesnt show the engine bay so im guessing "25000 MILE SERVICE
NON WARRANTY-NON OEM" means it's modified?
Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Difficult to tell if it is stock height or slightly lowered. Could be slightly lowered. Looks like a decent deal if all of the records check out. It has carbon fiber/TVD package (and all of the other options) so 36k miles is pretty decent mileage. I guess, check all of the inspection records and also the history of the car. Stock exhaust on it and seems like the bodykit is the only mod on it.
The warning lights are about worn out brake pads and also the battery being weak. You might have to get them replaced so either the dealership can replace them for you or you could use it as a bargaining chip.
This is my RCF on stock height (with Eibach spacers, of course). So it might be spacers with stock height on that RCF. You might have to get that checked

Also forgot, it is on winter tires Sotto Zeros or some cr*p like that so your test drive might not be that great considering tires make a huge difference in how performance cars feel. You might have to buy Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (XL) for the RCF as well to make it handle like it should.

That non-OEM stuff just looks like how that dealership documents service that isn't complementary. I would definitely use new brakes and battery as a bargaining tool.
It says the front only measure 1mm, don't think that will even pass a MD state inspection.
Looks like previous owner didn't want to pay for a brake job and traded the car instead.

Description states 2015, but that could be typing error.
I'm selling mine and as I look around online at other RCFs, majority of them have some sort of accident or damage reported on the Carfax.

The car doesn't look lowered, but it's hard to tell for sure. They did mention they could not get it on the alignment rack, so it could be.
The service history looks good to me. Regular scheduled maintenance done at Lexus. I don't see anything that would scare me away from this car. Unless I am not reading the report correctly, it looks like they replaced the front brakes and rotors on 9-13-2019. I would think the "brakes will require attention soon" noted on 1-22-2020 is for the rear brakes.
I would definitely ask to have the battery, rear brake pads and rotors, and new tires or use them as a bargaining chip. Your probably talking about a couple of grand. Good luck!
I went from an IS350 to the RCF and I love it!

Appreciate it all! So I took the plunge and purchased the car! I used all of it as a bargaining chip and got a few Gs off. Now I need to get some new tires for it lol

Congrats. Good that you used the replacement parts as bargaining chips. First, you should get rid of those Sotto Zero *****ty tires. They are winter tires and will make the car feel sloppy. Replace them with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (XL). What about the brakes and battery? Do you have to replace those as well? Other than that, a solid buy especially as it came with all options including carbon/TVD etc. Were you able to figure out if the car has been lowered? If it is lowered, you might want to know what springs it has since RS-R springs are notorious for blowing shocks as they don't have good enough spring rates.
Link to the tires you want that are best suited for the RCF (OEM on 2020 RCFs).

Any idea what lip kit is on this car? I tried googling it and couldnt find much.
Thanks for the link for the tires! My buddy was telling me to get RE71r. Any experience with those?

No, don't go with RE71R. They will be a nightmare to drive on the streets. Very noisy and harsh. They will tramline everywhere on the road and will have very limited tread life. The Pilot Sport 4S (XL) I linked above are the best balance between performance and comfort. You can see all reviews and they are the gold standard now. They are also OEM on 2020 RCFs.

Clicked on the link - not available. Scroll down - you bought.
Hope you got it for a good price! The car is definitely lowered and has (what appears to be) the NIA front lip.
Enjoy!
