Mine was already set to setting 3 so I am wondering why I still don't remember hearing a beep? Am I missing something?
Theoretically, I cannot say this with 100% certainty, but I believe in redline should be at 7,000 in all modes. The beeper sounds at 7000 RPM, not 6900, from what I've seen on videos. So, maybe it does matter what your RPM is set to. If you look at the tachometer on a stock setup, there is a light red spot, then dark red, and in that light red spot is where the beeper sounds. If your light red spot is before 7k RPM, most likely it would make sense if the beeper doesn't sound. Like I said, this is a theory (sort of).

Not the redline. It is the needle in the animation at the rpm for the three settings 6100 rpm, 6500 rpm and 6900 rpm. That is what I was talking about. Redline is 7300 rpm in all cases.

Yeah, I think the animation kinda means nothing... I wasn't really meaning the redline, I was meaning the rev indicator thing. If you set the rev indicator down to 6,900, maybe it doesn't have the beep?

Is your rev indicator set to 7,000 like stock? Because if it is lower, that might be the issue, not entirely sure

I explained above, it is only pre-select options I see. 6100 rpm, 6500 rpm and 6900 rpm. There is no other option available. Mine is at setting 3, which is 6900 rpm.

Turn off your radio, it's not very loud.

The beep isn't at exact redline by default anyway. There's a lag between hitting the paddle shifter and the car actually shifting. On a full throttle pull, the delay between - beep, pull paddle shifter, upshift - is just enough for the car the shift right at true redline.

LOL ML 17 speaker stereo system is useless for me since I drive the car for the experience. Wish I could get rid of it, but here all RCFs get ML system.

Having said that, I will try to notice that next time. Mine is at 'selection 3', which is 6900 rpm or so. Which selection option do you have yours set to? There are 3 options available. Thanks.

Could the three pre-select options be in reference to when each of the three steps of the rev indicator comes on?

Just an update on this. I get the rev-beep now. I think it happened because I followed the steps above in the user manual about how to set the rev indicator and rev peak. It now beeps just about 300 rpm before the rev-cut off (I believe, around 7100 rpm). It is actually helpful because it prevents me slamming into the rev limiter (which is very easy to do).

So, you didn't set up the rev indicator and rev peak before then?

Nope. Never did since I got the car over 3 years ago. Never thought much of it until recently.

So what you mean is, you didn't have the rev indicator on?

Forgot what the original settings were. I set rev indicator to 6900 rpm and made the sure the rev peak was switched on.
