I think you mean left side (since intake is on right side), but I get your point. Thanks.

The torque/HP gains are small and mostly in the midranges so when you have that much HP and torque to begin with, 5 - 8 whp is not going to be noticeable as it is only a 1% change. Full exhaust is where you notice a significant change.

Called today and they said mine will not be here till mid-september. Apparently, it has to be first shipped from AFE's warehouse. Did you find anything challenging in the installation? From the video, it appears to be very straight forward. Right?

Just installed mine and replaced the afepower magnumflow drop in filter. Recorded my air flow on obsfusion and thought it would be interesting to share how much the air flow increased from drop in filter to the stage 2. Highest seen with the drop in was 39.2 lb/min. Highest seen with stage 2 was 46.3 lb/min. My kclv shot up to 21 soon after

That is great data. Looks like intake air temperature was a lot lower with the stage 2 AFE power. Was it in similar conditions with the AFE stage 2? I am still waiting for mine to arrive. Taking forever. I ordered the wet one. Did you use the dry or the wet one to record the data?

What do you think about the sound amplification/experience while driving? Throttle response, midrange etc.?

Today was about 10-15 degrees cooler so not sure how much that will effect the mass air flow readings. I’ll redo the test again in 2 days when the temperature is 100 again. I do believe i can hear more suction noise from the right side of the car when accelerating. Could be placebo but i did feel more power in the first couple of pulls right as the intake opened. How long does the ecu take to adjust itself and remove those gains? I have the dry filter. I’ll do some more driving tomorrow and listen to how much louder the intake sound is, i only drove around for a little bit.

Yes, I think in similar temperatures would be very useful to see if the AFE power stage 2 runs cooler than the stock airbox. If you want to see if the gains are gone then disconnect the negative terminal of your battery for a couple of minutes. Then, reconnect and let the car idle for 5 - 10 minutes. The computer will re-learn everything including the new air flow rate. Definitely, you should be hearing more because of the filter design as well as the different flow in the pipe. I ordered the pre-oiled filter so it should have a slightly better flow rate, but requires more frequent cleaning, which is fine with me since my RCF only gets driven occasionally.

I love the Takeda intake. Installed this last weekend. I "feel" a bit better throttle response and the sound is a little deeper (intake noise). I like it.

Good to hear that. Where did you end up buying it from? I ordered it from a local shop in Calgary and it is taking them forever to get it.

WOW - where do I start? I had a difficult time getting my hands on one.

I ordered one from TDPerformance (Toronto) - waited 2 weeks then was told this was a special order item and it would take an additional 4- 6 weeks. Didn't want to wait that long. Cancelled order.

Found one on EBAY - ordered it. Was told opps sorry - this is the last one we have and it looks damaged, Cancelled order.

Finally ordered it from Vivid Racing - came in two weeks. Installed in about 20 minutes. Had to pay $124 import fee (ticked me off - but what can I do).

OK thanks. Same deal here as the TDot you got. Mine is now another 4 weeks or so as it has been shipped.

The other option for a conical filter intake is/was by PasswordJDM.....as I have one on my car and the sound is increible! It is/was nowhere near as expensive as the GruppeM....I am unsure if they are still available for sale or if they were limited production. Here are some pics, Enjoy!

Thanks Kramer. Looks awesome. Wish that option was still available. The company Password no longer exists. Looks like they went out of business. Thanks.
