Wait so is this a tsb? Any other details, or does it just apply for 4yr/50k miles? Just curious, haven’t had this issue but teh hand full of people that have makes me nervous.

It's a service campaign, basically extending the warranty on this specific part. Typically if you've paid our of pocket, lexus will reimburse you. So the OP of this post would get a refund for example since they paid for service after the typical bumper to bumper has expired.

It's not a recall where you need to run out and get something replaced. Just that if this part breaks, lexus has you covered for longer than usual warranty period.

All: Thanks for posting this service campaign details. My 2013 GS350 AWD air conditioning barely gets cool. Obviously we are just coming into Spring weather here in NY and i haven't used the air conditioning since last year but it was previously working. The only thing that was fixed since I last used my AC is my battery - it was changed about a month ago. Not sure if that may have impacted the servo motors.

Nonetheless, I'll be communicating this to my service advisor and hopefully they are able to fix it. Thanks again!

Update: I emailed Lexus Corp asking about the 20LE01 and complained that I never got it in the mail. They replied within a day and confirmed that my car is included. They told me to call a local Lexus dealership to make an appointment.

I dropped off my car, they reprogrammed the servo motors. Surprisingly, I did not need a $2400 servo motor replacement including labor. But I do need an AC Recharge for $306 with labor instead of $600 plus in Oct 2020.

Total Bill: $306

I got AC on both front driver and passenger sides. And the temp control is more sensitive now in changing cold to warm. If I wanted hotter, gotta wait for car to be at optimal temp.

Thank you so much to the people that mentioned the 20LE01 Service Campaign. And also to the people that chimed in. Now, I got AC before Summer 2021 comes around.

Does anybody know why ES350 is not covered by this recall?
I have Lexus ES350 2013 and 34000 miles and the issue with inlet servo motor but dealer told me that it takes 6-7 hours of labor and my car not under recall program.

Default 2018 LS500 Servo Motors

FYI to all:

I have a 2018 LS500 with only 25000 miles. I bought it as a certified pre-owned from a southern California Lexus dealership. Cold air comes out of the passenger side but not driver's. This is an intermittent condition. I was lucky enough to duplicate it for Arrowhead Lexus in Peoria, AZ. Bottomline: it needs all three servo motors replaced. Service rep said other Lexus models have this problem but it's the first time he's seen the flagship LS500 with this issue. He said if not for the warranty, this would be a $3000.00 fix. I never would have expected this from Lexus, a German or American car sure, but not Lexus.

WOW I never got this notice, I was just googling what the issue could be. Cool air comes out of the top dash for the defrost, but zero air from front vents. I will email them, bought my car new from Lexus, 2014 IS350 but has 231k on the clock now and this is the only issue I have had and it started today. Not gonna pay $3k to fix this, I'll just drive around in 115F heat it's almost 9 years old and nearly a quarter million miles on it. I moved from my original address though so that might be why I never got it.

Call Lexus customer service. If you bought it new and have done maintenance at a Lexus dealership they will review your case and possibly offer a reduction in repair costs.

Guys at the ISF forums did this with the valley plate leak and even people out of warranty Lexus was able to compensate half or more of the cost (sometimes all).

It’s worth a try and they get back to you quickly.
