i kinda feel like it’s a typo because i haven’t seen that name referenced anywhere else in research. everything else says arctic blast satin.

just caught this episode from donut media for the t.e. rear bumper brace and trunk partition also carbon fiber. i read that last night too. that’s cool. i once thought of trying to get a hold of the trd one like in ron’s build.

saved 61lbs in unsprung weight with the brakes alone. wow!

they hit the nail on the head on several points why i love the rc f platform and specifically these special editions so much to spend on it.

Cool watch! are you going to wear it when you drive or is it worth keeping it in pristine condition and sell with the car later (if you ever sell it?)

So I got some good pictures sent to me by Mary my contact at WSL, it seems like snow drift is a matte-esque color?

yeah, like a durable matte but i imagine very hard to repair/fix scratches just like matte.

now that i have more seat time, i have a little more feedback on the difference b/w spirited driving in a 2017 non-perf package versus 2021 limited edition. the donut video talked about shorter gears and stiffer avs than a non limited edition. i definitely feel both. the gearing is great and gets me up to speed a little faster per the butt dyno, and the avs in sport + is much stiffer than sport + in a standard model. almost felt like i'm back on cks coils running 5 clicks front and 9 rear on stiffness. i wonder if someone on a 17+ non limited edition could swap out their suspension as plug and play to get the stiffer avs. don't see why not but maybe they wouldn't sell the parts like the cf hood.

haven't played with launch control yet. once i have the post sale 1,000 mile inspection done i'll start playing with launch. getting closer but the rain now is limiting my road time.

The spring rates are the same. The AVS dampers on TE in sport+ mode have stiffer rebound than the 2017 - 2021 AVS RCF in sport+. That is what I read in the press release.

My TE in sport plus annoys me in its too bouncy, feels like a slammed Honda. I like the stiff handling but sometimes in a turn it bounces quite a bit and upsets the handling. Or if on a bumpy road heads are bouncing around.
I have 5k miles so far on the car and really only drive in sport + other modes are laggy and too soft for me.

Yeah. that is the stiffer rebound I talked about above. It has some compression stroke for compliance over bad roads, but the rebound tends to get overly aggressive as the speed goes up.

I’ve been in all kinds of sports cars from various manufactures from nice to exotic and never felt anything like how the TE handles bumps and a lot of the cars have been driven on the same roads. Its interesting that a Lexus of any model would have a harsh bounce or rebound that feels like it hurts the handling.
