Hi everyone I have a 15 RCF I haven’t started the car since august last year I took the battery out and I charge it ones per week do u guys think a will do any damage but not starting or driving the car it only has 7500 original miles I’m a truck driver and I don’t drive it much I move it up in down so I don’t get a flat spot on my tires .......
Your battery might be toast because it sat there for too long. You can try getting a jump starter. I have one and my battery is pretty much done. The portable jump starter starts the car up every time, but next spring I have to get a new battery.
It might also be good to change the oil and do some regular maintenance before doing any spirited driving. Regular oil can last up to a year before it starts to lose its viscosity, synthetic is about the same amount of time.
Also, your tires should be fine and as long as you do a bit of regular maintenance before driving it hard, it should be totally fine.
To answer your question, I don't think your hurting the car by not driving it and keeping the battery on a tender will certainly prolong its life.
That being said though, the batteries for these cars tend to start crapping out after 5yrs anyway so you might want to look at getting a new battery regardless.
My only concern that you should have is the age of the gasoline. Gas is not meant to last more then a few months really and after that it breaks down. If the gas is really old you may want to see about dumping it and replacing with fresh gas and at the very least get in the habit of using a fuel stabilizer at each fill up since you don't drive it very much to help the fuel stay in a useable state.
There was a comment about the oil, I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as your not just starting the car occasionally and not driving it. Oil will absorb water believe it or not, and you need to get the engine sufficently hot enough to get rid of the moisture inside. I would also make sure you give the engine plenty of time to warm up before driving it if you havent driven it in sometime just to let the oil work its way into all those nooks and crannies..
