Default Anti gravity battery for RCF with re-start/jump start feature

I have read the ISF forums where the ISF guys use the battery and have had good results with it. Does it work with the RCF as well? Anyone with RCF tried it? The re-start and automatic key fob jump start feature are very enticing since my car sits during the winter. It is also only 9 lbs (about 60+ lighter than OEM). Also, they have a 15% black friday sale on till the end of today, which is $100 USD off. It is very enticing despite being overpriced. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks.

Is that the right battery? Their battery finder says Group 24

https://antigravitybatteries.com/pro...tive/ag-24-rs/

But I thought we had group 48 / H6

That is the thing I am not sure about. The link I put above for group 24 is what I got from the ISF forums. However, our RCFs might be different and need a group 48 or group 60 just like you said. I don't know. I am worried I might end up ordering the wrong one and it will not fit or not work properly especially coming from the US.

I sent them a live chat message, when I get a reply I'll let you know; I'm also interested

I put an Antigravity in my 916 Ducati and the extra CCA IMO made a huge difference in how easily the bike started up

Thanks man. Let me know. Their website does not give specific applications for their batteries so that would be helpful. Also fitment would be another thing to check.

Thanks man. I will check it out. Since my car does not get driven much (only 10K miles on it in 5 years). The 60Ah model is the one I need to look at....Hmmm.

It says the 60ah is on backorder, did you ask them how long it would take? That's the one I'm also interested in, more CCA never hurt anyone

I will email him once I am done work today. The dealership quoted me $422 for the battery so in CAD, it will be almost triple the amount close to $1000+ for a battery after conversion and duty is factored in. I will check with him and ask him some questions about the battery life, warranty, fitment etc Will let you know what he says.

I like the weight savings and the expected life span of 8-10 years. Only time will tell since I don't see a warranty. I would expect to buy at least two regular batteries in this amount of time.

They claim a 3 year pro rated warranty

https://antigravitybatteries.com/warranty/

I wish they sold the group 48 batteries through Amazon, would make it easy to return if it didn't fit / wasn't functioning properly - that's where I purchased the Antigravity battery for my Ducati 916 - makes it easy to take the risk on purchasing

They also told me their 60ah version is back in stock this week, but they are fulfilling previous orders so they will know for certain what their inventory looks like by Thursday

I sent Chad an email and also had a bit of a chat with him as well. Here are some points. He is going to respond to my email as well

1 - He recommends at least, 40 Ah. I was trying to explore the 30 Ah because of the weight savings, but he said a car like RCF should have at least 40 Ah. I told him I only drive in warm weather and also kept in a climate controlled garage etc. Still, his recommendation is 40 Ah

2 - The battery is not universal fit. He said, it is specifically made for our cars so it should have the same dimensions and terminal placing, diameter etc. as our stock battery. He said, it is intended to be installed by the customer and should be a plug and play. That is good sign.

3 - Chad is offering 15% off during this week provided the person emails him. The black Friday sale is available till this coming Friday to anyone interested. My dilemma is, the battery is made in China so I have to pay duty, conversion, sales tax and shipping, it is coming out to about $1050 for the 40 Ah. Stock OEM replacement is $422 CAD as I said above. The conversion really is the killer. For the American members here, I think it is a great deal considering the benefits over an OEM like battery.

I have an older Antigravity RS-30 (30Ah) in my 392 Challenger, and it has worked flawlessly for for several years, despite many short trips and limited use. It recharges fairly rapidly and is slow to discharge, even with the parasitic drain inherent in modern vehicles. However, the Challenger battery is located in the trunk versus the hot engine compartment, which is probably an ideal application.

That is what I think as well. My car does not draw that much as I don't use A/C in my RCF or heater ever. The Mark Levinson is almost never used so it is driving for the sake of driving. Just the rep from AG is recommending doing 40 Ah or higher. He is saying the 30 Ah is a very small battery not suitable for a luxury car like the RCF. I think the weight savings on the 30 Ah are pretty substantial (13 lbs vs OEM 50+ lbs), which is very enticing.
