Question Noob want to know here to buy a RC F

Hi guys !

As the title say, I'm a newbie in the auto-sphere. I'm 25 and it has now been many years of me searching for the perfect car to buy as I've been wanting an Audi for so long. But DAMN ! I just learned about the existence of this Lexus RC F 3 months ago and i felt in love instantaneously ! I'm watching videos daily, learning about mechanic stuff, improving my knowledge on this perfection for me to not just be a stupid dude with an amazing car and now I'm planning to buy it next year in 2022. I think this is a car you need to deserve and not just some random car you drive by because it's "cool". I think it is a secret beauty well kept under the radar by people who know its true power ! As I want to distinguish myself from BMW, Mercedes and Audi, I know this is the best choice !

What would be your advices ? Where to search ? Which are the things to watch before buying ? Is maintenance expensive ?

I live in France so as far as I've been searching, it's worth close to 50.000€ here.

Thanks for your time and answer ! Have a good day !

Welcome. Glad to hear you really find the prospect of RCF exciting and want to own it in the future. It is a great car and I have owned it for 4 years. Put some mods on it to make it more exciting and it puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it. I don't know how much snow does France get, but it snows from December to March here so I put the car away in storage from December to March. I have two other cars for family and daily duties. The way I have it setup, it makes around 500 HP with OEM++ mods and it has larger rear summer tires only driving the rear wheels so not the perfect recipe for snow driving.

Regarding your question about maintenance, I have found the maintenance to be very reasonable for the RCF considering its performance. This is especially in consideration of the equivalent M4 or AMG car. I just pay the normal dealership maintenance and service cost of around $200 to do the maintenance once a year. Only the parts are expensive. For example, I purchased new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S XL tires last year, which all in installed were $2000 CAD. Brakes are still going strong, but once they need to be replaced the pads/rotors combined are around $3000 CAD etc. Other than that, I have had zero issues and never have to spend any money. Hope that helps.

Cheers!

Have you test driven one yet? If you haven’t I’d start there. I personally love the car but people’s wants and needs are all different.

12 years ago, I gushed over an EVO X. The specs were on point....until I sat in one. The seating position for me made it awkward and uncomfortable.
