Default First Photo Session/4 Months of ownership

Have had the car for nearly 4 months now. Absolutely in love. At first, I was not a huge fan of the wheels but they have grown on me a lot. Besides that, I have loved driving the car. Sport+/Manual is absolutely the best way to drive, its a 2017 so it has AVS and I find that sport + is significantly stiffer than the other modes. In terms of mods, I am thinking about an Oil catch can and Invidia catback exhaust but other than that, looking to stay stock. Looking forward to many more years of driving this beast.

Cool picture! Glad you are enjoying your RCF. Another really good mod is, depending on the tires you have right now, you can upgrade to more aggressive tires and it makes a big difference. It is a small enough mod, but it does make the experience a lot more fun.

I see you have PS4S tires, how are those compared to the Pilot Super Sports? From what I have read they are a substantial improvement in ride comfort and road noise but in terms of performance they are very similar, however, it definitely varies on every car. I am curious to know how the RC F does with the PS4S, I know they became OEM for the 2020+ facelift so presumably, they are better.

The PS4S are night and day compared to the Pilot Super Sport. Super Sport are slippery compared to the PS4S. It's definitely a step in grip and feel. If you're getting a replacement set, make sure to get the correct PS4S manufactured specifically for the RC F. The compound and tread block pattern is specific for RC F's drive characteristics.

To be honest, the SL version of PSS on the RCF came with were quite terrible. I was very disappointed in the tires when I first purchased the car. They deformed and rolled over the sidewalls so easily. Traction was also not that great as I could break them loose very easily. I have been modifying cars for 16+ years so I can easily spot how the tire is matched to the chassis/suspension. The sidewalls were squishy, the steering response on-center was not great. All in all, they were a fine touring tire focused more on comfort, but really as a high performance tire I hated them.

The tires were done last year so I decided to purchase PS4S in extra load trim level. They have extra load meaning the sidewalls are strengthened to handle more load. They are a huge step forward than the OEM PSS tires. They feel like a proper high performance sports tire. Despite having the same size, they actually are WIDER than the OEM PSS tires due to a wider shoulder block. Steering response on-center is great, the sidewalls under sudden transitions left and right really hold up very well and don't deform like the OEM PSS did and they are super quiet compared to the worn out OEM PSS tires I had, which had developed a howling tendency before I swapped them out.

All in all, highly recommend the PS4S tires. I went with the extra load (XL) version like I stated above since I wanted extra stiff sidewalls, and could not be happier. They still maintain very decent ride quality over rough pavement and not harsh at all. The OEM-Spec 2020+ PS4S SL version for the RCF are another great choice as they are being praised a lot. Cannot go wrong with either version.
