My invidia q300 shipped today! I'm excited to have it installed next week once it comes in. Still a little worried about the gaskets and stuff but I'm just hoping for no check engine lights!

Yes, I believe the invidia catback deletes the secondary catalytic converters in the mid-pipe. Not sure if this will trigger a check engine on its own, I think that it has to be improperly installed for that. Lots of people run this exhaust with no check engine light. As for emissions testing, I am not sure, to be honest, it should still pass.
No it should not cause a CEL at all. If it does more than likely it's due to a leak caused by impropper installation. Since the cats are removed one could always get the o2 extenders as a piece of mind.. however those shouldn't be needed at all. All it would do is push the o2 sensor slightly out of the stream and make it think that the cats were there due to the reduced flow. But I haven't see anyone do that. We used to do that back in the day but I'm fairly certain it's not needed on secondary cats at all.

Many people have this exhaust installed on here and on FB. 99% of the time when one gets a CEL it's because of a leak where they didn't make sure the gasket was properly centered. When I get the exhaust I will be using this along with the stock gaskets for good measure. Mind you don't use a ton, just a little bit on each side and then torque it properly.

I am also confused about this now, deleting the secondary cats with the invidia exhaust shouldn't cause a check engine light correct?
you are correct. The secondary cats are actually AFTER the sensors. Only reason check engine light would pop up is due to exhaust leak at header flange.
The secondary cats will NOT cause a CEL. I installed my Invidia cat back two years ago and no codes. I used the gaskets that came with the exhaust. Bigger ones go in front. You don't need an 02 extender.
