Well, after a few months of ownership, I am looking to open up the sound of the V8 a little bit. The Invidia q300 mid-pipe cat-back is a pretty attractive option given its ubiquity amongst RC F owners and its competitive price point. I am mainly trying to figure out where to purchase this exhaust from and have it installed. I have posted a link to autohance, for the exhaust. Let me know if y'all have had any experience with this seller or, if there is somewhere else I can get this exhaust from.
Everyone that has this exhaust likes it a lot. I'm waiting for my replacement to come in hopefully in a couple weeks. (first one got damaged). So I can't wait to install it. Biggest things is that there is no drone. That is key for me. I don't want an exhaust that has drone. I also don't want a super loud exhaust. Our cars are fast but not super quick and it's always funny to me hearing a super loud vehicle but it doesn't seem like it's move quickly... reminds me of riced out civics.
This exhaust looks nice with the burnt tips. These are old pictures of when I just had the muffler under mine to get a feel for the looks if I liked the look of the burnt TI tips. I do like how it looks. It adds a bit of color. Normally I'd be ok and go with just s/s tips.
For the price it's a very decent bang for your buck. You can see certain things about the exhaust that wouldn't be on point with a $2k+ system in terms of how certain things look. But overall it's a nice piece. Only thing I plan on doing is painting the rear most section of the muffler so when you are standing behind the car you don't see the shiny mufflers. I want to make it how Lexus/Toyota did and painted the mufflers black so you only see the tips. To me this looks much nicer than shiny mufflers that scream out it's not OEM.

Love the burnt tip look and like you said not a bad price.

It is great. Have had mine for 2+ years. The burnt blue tips looks as good as new as long as one does not use polish or detergents etc. I only use WD-40 to clean them and they look as good as new.

That sounds awesome! Can't wait for the long tunnel run.
Yeah, gotta find time for it to shoot. It all has to be planned carefully since I have seen cop traps setup at the end of the tunnel so the risk is high considering the speed 4th gear hits so I will have to do it at a very odd hour with proper planning. I know it will be epic.
Does Invidia Q300 have drone noise when car in normal mod + cruise on highway ?
People are saying Ark Exhaust does have drone in "non-Sport+" mod with low rpm.

Zero drone. Only if you lug the engine in 7th gear at 50 mph, but that is what downshift is for.
Thanks Rolla, when I go to Chicago, I'll get one XD.
So many things want to do on my car.
After 4+ years and quite a few mods, still the same sentiment. Case in point, there is always a next mod. Be prepared for the urge to dish out more LOL

Look at my response up above.... Everyone that has this exhaust says there is zero drone. ZERO drone.
I have also heard and read the ark definitely had drone. Someone on the Facebook group has had both exhaust and they said that the ARK makes drone and they changed it to the Invidia and are super happy with it because it's quiet when driving normally and then it makes some awesome noise once you get on the throttle.
I've seen the Invidia go from least favorite - to crowd favorite due to it's versatility. The previous owner installed the catback and it wasn't my first choice. But, it has aged well as it is very balanced, and would now be my top pick.
The lack of drone is also desirable. Due to its tone, volume, and lack of drone, to add headers down the road would be one of the most tolerable options.
I hate rasp, I hate drone. This has neither, with much overhead.

This is correct, there is drone with the ARK. Scale of 1-10, it’s a 3-4 imo. Sport Plus mode it’s minimized greatly. Fantastic exhaust overall though. I was originally waiting for the Invidia to get back in stock but after a month and a half I decided to go with the ARK as it was in stock.
