Japanese lady gets emotional taking delivery of her Lexus RCF
#3
Pretty cool to see how excited she is to take home her new RCF.
On a side note, always wondered why the Japanese and European spec of the RC / IS had power folding mirrors and the US spec didn't......cost savings I guess?

We need to get part numbers for the power folding mirrors. I'd 100% do this mod if someone could get me European LHD vehicle part number. And I can only assume from reading the IS threads that the individual door modules are needed both driver/passenger to make the mirrors fold in. More than likely we would NOT have auto fold when you lock it, but by changing the interior window switch you could manually close them, which is fine by me... I just want power folding mirrors.

On a side note though I'd say it would be a good mod idea. Check out this thread here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-...-possible.html. I believe it has some part numbers there.

Not sure if there is a whole lot of interest in what she said, but here's a quick summary:
Basic summary:
She said that the car is very cool, and that she loves the red. She mentioned that she was wanting to get a rug for her place in that same kind of color.
Then, some dialogue about how the car is actually used with a little over 10 km and that it was used by the dealer for test drives. She went ahead and paid about a thousand dollars to have paint correction and coating and was reacting excitedly that she can no longer see any of the scratches and such they were previously there.
She loves the sound of the engine and wants to change the exhaust as soon as possible.
She remarks that the suspension is firm but the ride is still relatively good.
The car doesn't feel like what is expected from a typical Lexus.
The overall experience isn't luxury, but the interior is simple yet high quality.
Slight complaint about lack of the latest safety features.
Then, the one thing she did complain about is the lack of a brake hold feature to which she was quite surprised a Lexus car didn't have. I guess this is so that people don't have to keep pressing on the brake pedal when stuck in traffic.
Then, in closing, just asked for recommendations on exhausts and the usual YouTuber closing stuff.

Thanks for the translation. I felt the same way about the exhaust. Immediately after I took it home, I was like I need to swap the exhaust for a full exhaust ASAP.

I love this forum. Conversations go from a Japanese lady making strange noises after the delivery of her somewhat exotic car, to power folding mirrors just like that.
On a side note though I'd say it would be a good mod idea. Check out this thread here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-...-possible.html. I believe it has some part numbers there.

I posted on facebook as well but for whatever reason doesn't seem like a lot of interest in power folding mirrors. Which is strange considering the cost of this vehicle. If someone has a LHD 2020+ rcf with power folding mirrors I'd love for them to chime in and or be able to get us part numbers. I've already called local places and they can't look anything like that up since it's not a US spec... which is lame.
