Smile Rented a 2015 Lexus RCF for 1 Week 😁 {VIDEO} 👀

I have a 2006 Lexus GS300, but recently I wanted to see what that 467 horsepower Lexus V8 is all about.

So I rented a beautiful white Lexus RCF, here's my highlights video from my Florida vacation. The car got me hooked...

Tell me what you guys think of the video.

Cheers, Lex

Cool video. Enjoyed the no nonsense approach in your video. Just be careful on those roads because you get to illegal speeds very fast. A big frustration of owning an RCF is, it is unusable on the streets in 90% of the cases especially if I have my two children in the back seat so I tried to make it more enjoyable at slow speeds. All of my mods are focused on slow speed visceral experience. Only feedback I would give is, use manual mode with Sport+. Transmission is much faster in manual mode. On the highway, you downshift to 2nd or 3d depending on speed and then floor it. Much more fun.

I am used to an exhaust note so the stock RCF sounds "too tame" now that I have been driving with a full exhaust for 2+ years. Cheers!

I'm happy to see that you enjoyed the RCF.

I get a big smile every time I get behind the wheel of my RCF. Especially with the aftermarket Borla exhaust.

I agree with you that it's absolutely incredible to get around 29mpg when cruising in ECO on the highway! But I can't do it for too long in ECO mode!! When I had my CT200h hybrid I was getting around 27 mpg on sustained 85+mph highway driving.....AND NO POWER AT ALL. In the CT200h I have to gamble with my life whenever I wanted to pass semi trucks or when merging onto the highway. The "best mpg" I had when I had the CT200h was around 48mpg in stop and go Los Angeles traffic. Life is too short to worry about mpg. Especially given what I've seen these days in the COVID pandemic.

I noticed in your rented 2015 RCF, the center multimedia screen display is wider and was displaying different things vs my stock 2015 RCF!!! The owner must have swapped out for the newer RCF screen and added Android auto/Apple interface? It looks cooler than mine stock.

My RCF is now just over 90K miles....... No major problems. I use it mainly for highway cruising. What a cruiser it is. Enjoy!!

As mentioned above, once you've experienced an aftermarket exhaust on these 5.0L v8's, you'll REALLY find yourself with the pedal to the metal at all times!
Car definitely gets up to speed fast....I would just suggest a quality radar detector for a little piece of mind when doing those pulls.
And did you rent it with Turo?

V.
