RIP RC. They were already done in Europe. They still sell RCF on special order in Europe. I think Australia will still get the RCF and the IS500 F-Sport. RCF might be around for another 1 or 2 model years in North America.

Lemme be honest here, I'm not sure the RC will be around much longer, perhaps a year or so more but by then I think it's done. If the 2022 model comes out, the RC chassis will officially be 7 years old, which is actually outliving the IS F. And, to be completely honest, I don't think they'll make a second generation. The RC sales of the past couple years have been pretty low, and it just doesn't seem profitable for Lexus to continue. Unless if the rumors of a twin turbo v8 are true, its pretty unlikely the RC is getting a second generation.

The worst possible outcome would be the RC F becomes a CUV with a twin turbo v6 and that farty exhaust sound when you let off the throttle. The best outcome is if the RC F became a fastback/shooting brake (actually maybe not)

Lexus makes plenty of money selling those RX SUVs that they can continue to make niche coupes for us enthusiasts. As long as they know it's going to be fairly low volume, then there shouldn't be any problems. At least that's my wishful thinking.
