One can seriously only hope this price is a typo or the car world has truly lost it's mind.

The USED car market lost its mind around the start of pandemic. All used cars are going for significantly higher then they used to.

 

65k? I paid 47K 3 years ago for my loaded 2015 RCF with 17k miles. I feel like a financial genius....LOL

When they get to 100K I will sell mine.

 

LOL the prices are outrageous. We were looking at 4Runner's and the quotes around all Southern California dealers had a "market adjustment" markup of $5K - $12K above MSRP! Basically they were asking $58K - $62K for a 4Runner! Funny enough was able to negotiate with a local dealer on a CPO '21 model with 13k miles for the price of a new model at MSRP.

 

65K not to much now, considering a new one similar equipped would cost 100K.
I bought my 2015 for 45k (well equipped), and need to keep it because the replacement cost is way more than what I paid. Well... also I'm keeping it because I really like it. It's the first car I have ever kept after 3 years, and through the years I have owned quite a few!

 

I really don't care, I would never sell mine right now but it's interesting how bad it's gotten.
Good to know my car is worth 15k more than I paid for it lollll.
But that 65k is still like 10k more than I've been seeing recently. I think this dealer is really going for it.

 

Willow Grove Lexus is selling my 2019 RCF that I just traded in for $ 72993 & this is a better deal then this 2015 for $ 64995. Prices are crazy right now but it will change when inventories increase.

 

Damn sure glad bought my ‘17 back in April before this craziness.

 

This price is off by a lot. This should be closer to $48k or 52 depending on how much they want to push for extra cash. This price is more like a 2019 or so.

 

It is the low mileage as the basis. I have seen a few pristine, low mileage ISF asking price up to $50k so it makes sense given the overall market inflation.

 

I drove my RCF all day yesterday around Napa county here in California. Everywhere I stopped I got compliments or comments on how nice the RCF was from people who did not even know what it was! People really have not seen this car.

I was also reminded how much I love to drive it and I am not sure if I could find a better car for me.

I guess what I am getting at is it may be worth it to the right buyer. I really have no intention of selling mine.

 

The difference to me is that those IS F's that are priced like that, are almost exclusively 2011+ cars which are truly the best of breed ISFs. Those cars are incredibly rare as a result of the ISFs dwindling sales by the end of its production run and on top of that Lexus made significant improvements to the ISF with pretty much each model year. A low mileage 2008 IS F is worth SIGNIFICANTLY less than say a 2011+ car. I would even say a 2013/2014 IS F is likely to be worth more than a 2015 RC F with the same mileage. The late-model IS Fs are simply extremely desirable cars as a result of their rarity and the dynamic changes made by Lexus towards the end of the production run. This RC F is ludicrously priced even for this market. At 65k, a much newer facelifted RC F can be had for not much more and to be honest, 65k is just ridiculous for an RC F with this mileage and age. The 2015 RC F is not quite as special as the late model year IS Fs as it is nowhere near as rare, and should not be priced as such. Obviously, this dealer is just taking trying to take advantage of the market situation but I would be extremely surprised if anyone goes for it. All this being said, I absolutely love my RC F and would not dream of selling it.

 

Tbh a quick google search of RC F's for sale will yield results of many much newer and lower mile RCFs that can be had for a lower price. Not sure what the dealer was thinking when they priced this one.

 

That's what I've been seeing as well. 2015's no matter the mileage won't go out of the 50s.
65k for a 2015 is really stretching.

Why do some owners sell their RCF's? Because they need rotors, pads, and tires, then found out how much it would cost to replace them!
If I was looking for a used RCF, first questions I would ask is condition of rotors, pads, and tires, and also what options the car is equipped with. Paying 50G for a 2015 for a almost basic optioned car that needs brake work, and tires, ain't no deal!
