Looks great. Welcome back to the F club. Must be fun to be back in a high-rev V8 again.
I just finished watching a video on M owners on how many are swarming back from the F80/F30 M3/M4s to the older S65 V8 M3s because of the specialness of N/A V8 engine sound and response. Hard to beat an N/A V8 sound especially with bolt-on modifications.

Very nice. If you don’t mind what did you pay and how many miles?

That it is! I honestly was on was fence on what to buy. I was extremely close to pulling the trigger on a 2018 c63s amg but after digging into the Benz forums, I found some pretty scary information. Like the engine being destroyed after only a few mods and the dealership wanting 70k for a new engine. No thank you. So I decided I'd go back to ole reliable with an updated v8!
p.s. SPORT+/MANUAL mode are the modes to use for spirited drives and TVD in 'slalom' mode.

So far, my biggest grip is it's too damn quiet! I cannot wait to chop the mufflers off. I've been to the muffler shop 3 times this week already but their so busy they just keep telling me to come back.
Other than that, I love everything else about the car. I already put the android navi in the car which in my opinion is desperately needed between the terrible infotainment and the ridiculously small screen that it comes with. I haven't had a real chance to try the TVD yet, but I'm taking a trip to the Mts. this weekend and hope to have some fun around some curves. Seat's are great, I love the huge tach, and the sound system is awesome.
I can see myself keeping this car for many years. Hopefully longer than the ISF which I had for 3-4 years.
Technically no. But kinda sorta. On the carfax, the previous owner bought it CPO, but he only drove it 5k miles. He did the 40k service on it right around 36k. It has had a solid service record before my purchase, which was another reason I jumped on this particular car.....I will most likely never take it to the dealership now unless it is something I cannot perform myself.

LOL. I agree. I really really wanted the carbon roof. But this to me, was the best deal I could find. So I sacrificed.

An interesting thing, TVD actually applies reverse torque through motors under hard braking to slow down the car faster, which gradually turns into more reverse torque on the inner wheel while entering the turn.
Hope that gives some useful on TVD.

Having driven and studied TVD for 4+ years, the TVD is amazing. The mode that works for tighter/slower speed maneuvering turns, is 'slalom' mode. The steering on-center becomes very sharp with very little lock to get the nose snapped around. Though, I use 'slalom' 100% of the time, 'track' mode is great for high speed momentum/flow turns. The key thing to remember is, you either need to be on brakes or on-throttle and not have the car coast into or through a turn. At first, it is a bit scary, but in high speed turns you need to get on the throttle as soon as you enter the turn so that you carry the most speed through and out of the turn while the TVD will whip the tail around making the line tighter and tighter. Once you have done it a couple of times, next time you will feel confident getting on the throttle and carrying more speed through the turn knowing that you will be able to follow your line without any surprises.
