Default Octane 94 Fill + STP Octane Booster = Rocketship

I have been prep'ing the car for storage so I filled it up with Octane 94 for winter storage and I also added for the first time STP Octane Booster (full bottle). Drove it about 40 - 50 km/h. With my SprintBooster v3 in race mode level 5, it takes off like a bat out of hell. I was just mind boggled and got intimidated by it. Since it is getting cold in Calgary, the temperature was less than 7C so while making left turns, a couple of times the tail kicked out mid-corner when I tried to power out.

Next spring, I am going to buy Draggy and try to see what kind of numbers it puts down.

I am sure it is not a placebo effect. I did a stop light sprint and it does not take off that insanely hard. Spin for a split second before gripping and taking off hard. Maybe, someone else can experiment with it and let me know if they are experiencing something similar.

The cold air will increase horse power and the cold pavement will decrease traction.

True, cold temperature is definitely a factor. I still think the Octane 94 + Octane Booster also have some effect given it is a very high compression engine.

On track days with my Ninja ZX9R. I would fill it up with super unleaded (93 octane) before getting to the track. At lunch, i would buy a gallon of their race fuel that was 100 octane to blend with what was in the tank. The bike loved the bump of octane. front tire would lift up easier.

Yeah, definitely something there for the 2nd gen 2UR given the 12.3:1 compression. It is a very lofty compression so higher Octane does make it advance the timing a bit. I will buy Draggy next spring and do some data comparisons.
