Default Upgrade bushings?

Hi, I'm a 3IS owner and upgraded to the RCF/GSF bushings to prevent inner tire wear as the RCF/GSF bushings have a stiffer rubber compound. I was reading on the thread that RCF owners look to upgrade their bushings to the poly-urethane bushings? Is this true?

Yes, that is correct. RCF OEM bushings are quite good. My F technician at the Lexus dealership told me he has swapped a lot of the RCF bushings into IS/RC to stop premature inner tire wear, but obviously some people want more stiffer bushings which is where the RR racing polyurethane bushings prevent the inner sidewall getting pressed harder under hard braking. Definitely worth going straight for the RR racing ones.

I might do it as well. but since I got much more aggressive tires (stiff sidewalled PS4S tires), they tend to flex a lot less in the inner/outer sidewalls so under hard braking, they don't deform in the inner sidewalls causing more wear and the tires are wearing out evenly, but still having RR racing bushing will help transmit more road-feel through steering, which is where I see the benefit.

I went with Fig's 90 dur poly bushings for my RCF. I wanted to introduce no additional NVH. These prevent inner tire wear that all F's face. Install is easy, just make sure you get an alignment done shortly after and you tell them to set the Toe to ZERO, otherwise you'll still have tire wear issues.

People do upgrade to the RCF Bushings. It's possible that it's slightly beneficial. But on the other hand, I get calls all the time from RCF owners with the same tire wear problems and lack of steering response complaints as all other models. Our customers solve the problem with the Poly bushing set up. Most people do not report any added NVH at all. We also offer a street version with a softer bushing.

Refer to the video to see how a rubber bushing behaves versus our USRS polyurethane mount.

I heard because it's a polyurethane bushing that it will be needed to be lubricated from time to time to prevent unwanted squeaking noises, is this true?

I have had mine installed since 2017, four solid years and zero squeaks. So far I have not had to lubricate them and I have put them through at least 40K miles and hard driving.
