Techstream smart code reset > not function > 16 min time
Where problem, please?

What version of TechStream are you running and what is the firmware on the cable that you are using?
Without knowing the above if I'm reading what you typed correctly that there are already 4 keys registered there is a max # of keys you can register. I am at work and can't look right now but I do know that if it's maxed out you need to delete all the keys and then add again. You can't delete a single key and add a one. They all must go away before you program.
When I programmed my credit card key the process took less than 5 minutes to do. Very simple. I was running Techstream v16.**** and my firmware on the cable is 2.4.1. If you have a cable that is running firmware 1.6, it will NOT program keys.

I was able to buy an OBD key fob programmer on Amazon to program all my new OEM keys, just another cheap alternative.

Hi,
it is true that my techstream has shown various minor errors.
Today I complete reinstalling the notebook.
Tomorrow tested.
Texchstream 16.00.17
VXDIG VCX NANO
I was wondering if there is some problem with the bus falling asleep like e.g. LS500, image...
Thank you

I'm not familiar with that scanner unfortunately.. Normally one would use a Chinese clone of the mongoose cable or actually get the Mongoose approved cable.
Your firmware version will be different because it's a different product. So I can't speak on it.
Your techstream version is fine to program keys. But it appears that the cable is more than likely where you are having issues. If it's going to sleep I can see why it would be failing communications..et.

What procedure are you following to register the keys? Almost seems like you're either missing a step, or doing the wrong task.
You can pay $20 (usd) for a 48 hour subscription to TIS where you can pull down all the service procedures. Might be worth it so that you are following the correct process. https://techinfo.toyota.com/

Have you tried cycling the driver side courtesy light per the last picture you posted every 1.5 seconds for the entire process?
I don't have any off the errors you are experiencing. Do you have access to another OBDII cable?
That would be one of the easier things to rule out. Try a completely different cable. If you are still experiencing the problem then you can dive more into it. Do you have any other errors when using your cable. Can you run the overal health check for the car, are you able to change the user customizable settings..etc?

I've tested all possible options.
Next OBD cable I don't have.
Tech.toyota.com I buy pre-delivered car US.
I'm still working on it.
Thank you for your ideas and advice.....

^Did you try a new cable yet?
Again, registering a new key should take all of about 4-5 minutes tops using TechStream. If you are getting any type of error in doing so it's probably pointing to either a configuration problem or cable problem. Can you edit other settings of the car with the cable you currently have? IE: Adjust the volume of the turn signals, or any of the user features, such as holding the unlock button on the keyfob to lower all windows?
If you can't do those then it's definitely a programming or cable issue.
I just added a key to my wife's NX using Techstream and it also took me less than 5 minutes to do. The same exact procedure I did with my RCF.
If you can't troubleshoot more, then your best bet is taking it to an independent dealer or the actual dealer...

Ludek, so when you bought the car had it shipped from the US did you do it sight unseen without ever driving the car? Or did it start and drive here before getting shipped over to you (did someone inspect or validate that or send you a video or anything?)
What were the circumstances of getting the vehicle? Did you buy from a legitimate dealer / importer? Salvage car?

Take it to your dealer... at this point there is not really much we can do for you here.
You CAN attempt to program the user features so that if you insert the metal key into the door lock and turn it, will allow for windows to completely open. (does your metal key fit into the door lock or have you not tested that either?) Hence why I am asking if you are able to program any customizable settings... You would be able to turn that feature on and TEST. If you can't do that then there is an issue with either your software/cable...etc.

I think Ludek is in the Czech Republic so fewer dealer options, and if he imported a car from the US I'd guess he's less likely to get a warm welcome
