Default Tire recommendation from me ..

OG tires need replacing, got the Firestone Indy 500 for about $950 installed, love them so far, fantastic tires for the money.

Here is a more elaborate review from an ISF owner

I think most people on the forum recommend the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, or the PS4S.

I went Bridgestone Potenza RE980as; I wanted an all season tire I could daily every day of the year and not worry. But the steering feel is a bit numb compared to the excellent Super Sports. If I had the chance to do it over again, I would go try the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4. I used to run A/S 3's on my old car and liked them.

I'm also a big fan of the Michelin PS4S, mostly because of their excellent characteristics while they wear. There are no issues with reduced performance or noise as the tires get older.

I hear you guys, they seem to last longer, are cheaper and definitely look cooler, not that it matters too much. I'm not tracking my car at all so I was persuaded to save a little dough. I'm in summer conditions all year pretty much so all season wasn't a consideration, definitely enjoy the more plush feel of a summer tire.. I'll let you know if they survive my grueling driving habits

Just a side note I'm assuming the forum knows Bridgestone is Firestone and vice versa, in fact this tire is branded Bridgestone in Asia.

My car came with PS4S. For daily driving on rough(er) (California) roads, the tires are extremely noisy. I'm asking the dealership to make a recommendation for me since the Michelin guy says they would know (honestly, I think no one but me cares about road noise on a performance car). Too bad there aren't car tests for tires that measure cabin noise.

Another decent one to look at is General G-MAX RS, I had the Firehawks before and they were decent, not as grippy as Pilot Sport 4s but lasted decently and was good for daily with some spirited fun, drive in the rain like it's raining... I tried the G-MAX RS and while they were not as grippy as the Firehawks in the dry (not noticable in regular driving), they were far better in the wet. I went back to PS4s as I don't daily commute anymore but the Firehawk or G-MAX RS is a good alternative for more budget friendly everyday driving tires.

I don't think the Firehawks are revolutionary for road noise, but there is definitely less noise than the OG tires and plenty of people mention this in reviews that they have, in general, less road noise than other "performance" tires.

Had convo with dealership's tire guy today over the phone. He was very nice but bottom line, there's no dealer alternative to the Michelin pilots (they can get the older pilot sport even though the ones on my car are more recent OEM. I'll wait for warranty to end and replace with all season tires. I might just bug my city to repave the rough road...

Think I'm tired of all the performance tires I have worn out. Going next with Pilot sport A/S 4. Hey Sailor, seeing you and I about the same age! You still riding that motorcycle? Wife is trying to get me off mine!

Still ride mine (BMW C600), but limited to short trips in the region. Mostly to the grocery or doctor. Hell getting old, ain't it? I also will go with Pilot Sport AS once I wear out the summer tires that came on the car. May take a while since the RCF is "for fun" and the Lincoln Nautilus gets more use (massage seats!).

Michelin is releasing the Power Sport 5 on 3/1/2022. That usual means the All Sport 5, PS5, and new Cup Sport 3 will soon follow. Might want to hold out a bit and see what happens.

i had Indy’s on my Audi S4, I thought they were great tires for the money. Pushed the S4 pretty hard and they stood up to the beating 😆. Will definitely consider them for my RCF when I get a set of summer wheels.
