Had res delete for a while, always wanted more volume, wife thinks 1k+ for an exhaust is insane, so decided to go for a muffler delete
Now, while it sounds fantastic, it is too loud for me and drones too much; doesn't fit the personality or aesthetic of the car IMO; problem is, all these stock pieces are too restricting; stock resonators would just bring it back to a level I didn't want, so I went with some aftermarket resonators, specifically these: I thought about going with their "ultra-quiet" style but the reviews led me to believe it toned the volume down significantly while the ones I purchased were less about volume and more about rasp reduction:
None of the rasp, slight volume reduction; pretty much exactly what I was looking for. There is still some drone around 2k rpm under load but I can deal
If I had the time I'd have purchased the "ultra-quiet" resonators to compare, but feel like I'd be back at square one
Just for a brief comparison, here's a much poorer quality vid right after the initial resonator delete (different phone and environment but gives a good diea)
