Default Drivers Instrument Panel Preferences

Since more of you chimed in with dissatisfaction with RC F instrument info I got to thinkin' what would I like it to show me during everyday driving (modes ECO, Standard and Custom).

Outside Air Temp (personal quirk for me and wife; but somewhat interest given summer tires)
Miles to Empty
TVD status if in Slalom or Race
Speed in large digits; speed limit on road in smaller contrast if Nav knows it
What's playing on stereo
Speed setting if in auto speed control
Next turn and distance if Nav is set on destination
Gear engaged if you have toggled any of the manual gears (e.g., downshift to slow).
Any alarm condition (e.g., tire pressure, coolant temp ...)
All of the above in large readable text.

Don't need to see engine RPM or Park Assist light (what is that there for? it isn't really a park assist where it parks the car for you). Don't need engine temp or oil temp unless something is awry.
Switching to Sport adds engine RPM and you can add other stuff that may be of interest to you...same-same for Sport +
Basically I prefer an idiot info screen for daily driving. I like my Lincoln instruments since it does allow me to see just what I want and nothing I don't want.

Are you wanting all of those displayed at all times or something? Almost everything you listed is on one of the displays, you just have to scroll to show it.

You recall the old Stones tune, Satisfaction line....
Lexus tellin' me more and more
About some useless information
Supposed to fire my imagination

Which is how I feel with current cockpit panel.

Most of what is displayed is USELESS for a daily driver. The stuff that is important, is hidden (as you say) in panels here and there or in tiny digits. Basically, the instrument panel as designed is retro to back in the 1970s when all you could have were analogue instrument readouts. If you want a GT (grand touring car), they should set it up for grand touring, not race track. In any event, the idiots don't let you customize it when it is SO EASY to do so with Media screens and software.

So, to answer your question, yah, all that stuff I listed, all the time, and NOTHING MORE unless I ask for it.

All I care about is RPM, MPH and oil and water temp and tire pressure.

You do realize some of those items are displayed already?

1. what is playing on the radio
2. next turn and distance while using the nav
3. the current gear

now mind you you can’t see them all at once unless
that is what your after?
