Default Question about AC seats

So I recently got some under the seat AC vents from a fellow member. Yesterday was the first time I had a reason to use them. I wanted just the seats on since the leather was hot and wanted to ride with the windows down. After turning the AC seats on, I thought....man these AC seats blow, even with the new direction vent directing air underneath me. Then I began to ponder....was air actually flowing from the vent under the seat? I pulled over, and there was zero air flow. So I was like wtf? I began to troubleshoot, I turned my AC on now, still nothing. Then, I turned the AC to blow air towards the floor board. What do you know...air starting coming out from the seat. So I guess my question is, does this happen to everyone? Is there something I'm doing or not doing? My is350C just blows air from the seat vents when I turn them on, so I would assume the mac daddy RCF would do the same. But you know what they say about assuming....

They work OK in my case. You feel it in the back and the bottom of cold air be blown out. It is not super cold, but definitely cool air

It’s a common complaint. The cooled seats aren’t very cool.

You may have hit on something there.

The cooling function of the seats in the RCF is generally useless.

Will try your hack.

The seats are more like ventilated vs cooled. There's no chiller in the seats, just a fan. Good for keeping your back dry on a long drive.

Putting the hvac on feet & face has been talked about before as a hack to try to cool the air going into the seats. No air is going to blow out of the floor vents unless you've selected one of those modes, because, why would it?

I've noticed when I had my RC350 and in my RCF that the air coming through the seats is not cool when I have my window down. your statement sorta explains why.

The fan blows but I think the issue is that it pulls air from the cabin, instead of directly from the AC vent. If I turn on the vented seats after the car is cool I notice the cold air immediately, but if I run it right after getting into the car, I feel almost nothing.

They are definitely very crappy ventilated seats for a car in this price range.

The seats are extremely disappointing in this car, you can barely feel the heat (compared to my BMW) and the chilled seats are a joke.

Yeah this is what I put under the seat. It does direct the airflow a-lot better. Just disappointing you have to have the actually have the AC on with it pointed to the floor to get functionality out of it.
