My OEM brake motor gets a edge on outer part,do i Resurface it or replace it now
Hi my 2014 rcf is on 48000kms now, I just swapped front and rear brake pads. The mechanic told me that I might think of changing the rotors with the pads same time as there are 1mm thick edge of the outer side of the rotors. My four rotors have the 1mm thick worn scratch on the edge. I believe the rotors are suppose to be much durable, or in other words I can use up many pads before I change my rotor? It does make some noises, these noise are not firm and not happen continuously and to me it is totally to live with it. I wonder if the uneven rotor surface might reduce the life my new pads, or is there any bigger safety concerns?
extra if I need to change rotors, what brand are good(I have oem pads for rear and brembo in front, for daily mostly)? brembo, Brakenetic? I dont need the 2piece rotors ha ha
thanks so much
I just attached pic below, they r 3 rotors condition. cheers experts:0
for my local dealers, I am not sure if they ever do resurfacing these days, might be costly, so I will just press brake hard hope it can get the rotor surface flat if I dont change them lol
