Long story short - shopping Invidia exhaust
Hi folks, I’m here to share my shopping experience with Meraki Autoworks, Mod In Japan and Grimmspeed. Back in Jul 2021, I ordered the Invidia q300 exhaust from Josh(Meraki Autoworks). Whenever I sent text messages to him, he always replied to me in 10 mins, that is amazing. But unfortunately that order didn’t work out because of the shortage and backorder from Invidia.
After waiting around 11months, I decided to check with other vendors like Mod In Japan. Luckily they had that exhaust and were ready to ship. So I canceled the order from Josh and he gave me refund in few mins(he is very professional and very responsive). I put order with Steven from Mod In Japan and they shipped exhaust to me that afternoon through Fedex. 7 days later, Fedex tried to deliver it to me but I wasn't at home. This package was required for signature, so I changed the delivery option to “hold at Fedex shipping center”. During the transition, the status became “package damaged, rejected by the recipient”(I believe someone from that shipping center rejected it). And they shipped the package back to CA again. I contacted with Mod In Japan after few days, Tanya helped me in this situation and sent me a new one. (I really appreciate the help from Steven and Tanya)
In the meantime I ordered two 2x thick 3’’ gaskets from Grimmspeed(Thanks folks about the previous inputs). And they missed one of the gaskets…I talked with their sales team, they used UPS next day shipping service for this missing order(That UPS next day shipping is not cheap, I spent $70+ to ship a few keys from IL to VA).
The overall experience from Meraki Autoworks, Mod In Japan and Grimmspeed is really good. Everyone is responsive and willing to help.
I'm going to find some shops help me with exhaust installation. I got quoted 1 ~ 2 hours work and $220 - $240 for installation from a local shop. Will call other shops later this week.

Very nice. You will love Invidia. Of all of the mods I have on my RCF, Invidia is one of the best ones I have in terms of increasing enjoyment and visceral feel of the car especially if you have the window slightly down. The sound echoing off the curbs and other cars, is amazing.

Too bad you aren't in VA still or I could help with the install. I installed the Invidia on a local guy in Manassas last year at my house.
It's funny Grimmspeed did the same thing. They shipped me one gasket even though someone checked two and initialed the packing slip...lol They were quick to fix it.
Make sure you get copper exhaust gas sealant just for good measure.
You'll like the sound of the exhaust though. I like it! I have an extra mid pipe that I am taking to an exhaust guy that is going to cut the resonators out so I can compare the difference between the resonated mid pipe vs not... See if there is a big difference. I don't want rasp or drone but a little more noise wouldn't be bad. We'll see.
