Default TRD clubs portal engine bay cover questions

I came across this rare eye candy from TRD, before anyone bashes me about the price of it, I was wondering if it adds any kind of functionality or is it Purley aesthetic, I noticed mounts that go on the side of the engine bay, do they come with the set, if anyone has more information on this and if I need a Japanese vin number to order any information will be highly appreciated.

It comes as kit, brackets and all, if you can still get it. It is made for RHD models so the firewall bracket will have to modified or a custom one made if your car is LHD. It's not just for looks as it is also a triangulated brace (whether a brace really makes a difference on our cars, some will say it doesn't)
@weswork has one on his RC F, maybe you can search his build thread for details. He had a custom firewall bracket made for his.

Slow to contribute here and I've responded to BAHRCF through PM. Some quick responses here for those that are interested. The vendor that sourced this for me did have to obtain a JDM VIN # to get it. The part took over a year to receive. The fabrication of a new firewall bracket due to the differences between the JDM and USDM firewalls is not for the uninitiated. Look at posts 69, 78, and 89.

Ohhh I want one so bad, but even if they make one aftermarket I don’t know if I could justify the price on w if I’d these things.
