LOL...exactly the same experience. I know most people are lazy so I park so far away that I know it would be very unlikely someone would want to park beside me and walk a long distance LOL

Never fails to happen to me, too! Except it's usually a soccer mom's dirty van. She recklessly flings open her door and comes to within about 1/8" of my door! Never even occurs to her what could happen here! UGH!!

There is an unspoken rule but it's also common courtesy. This is a grocery store parking lot....farthest away from the entrance....lots of space a lot closer to the grocery store.

Reminds me of dudes who take up the next urinal next to you when there are others that are open that give both of you ample personal space. People need to be more present...LOL.

Of all the things that **** me off the most. When my father was in the hospital a couple of years ago I got a call he was sick and I raced over to support him. I was in my RCF. I parked in the most farthest spot from the hospital. No one was parked out there. After several exhausting hours I came out of the Hospital and someone had parked right next to me and dented my passenger door. There were literally hundreds of empty spots. I was in such a rage I almost destroyed their car. But, I left with no harm done and for the better.

It can be tempting, but then, how is that going to repair the dent in your door? Two people being a jerk keeps one of you from NOT being a jerk.

Yes he is doing fine now. But he was very sick at the time and it looked pretty bad. Thanks for asking. It is stressful when your loved ones are sick in the hospital, not a great time to get your car dinged. LOL

Glad he's better. Never a great time to get a ding. Did you get the ding fixed? Dent wizard? I tried a DIY kit that included tips that you glue onto the ding, then use a slide hammer to try to pop out (not on the RCF). Had mixed results. A couple dings came out, a couple others didn't. In any event, if you want to try using the equipment, I'll loan it to you. I think you are only about an hour away from benicia.

I used one of those glue pop out kits. It took several tries but came out pretty good. I don't care as much anymore I have had the car for years now and have had quite a bit of damage from rocks on the freeway. I drove into a curb last week, I did not see, while having lunch in St Helena and scuffed one of the wheels. When I first got the car I would have been mad. I just walked away and had lunch. My wife thought I was crazy as she knows how I used to be about cars. I have really changed. It just a car and it can be fixed. I think what makes me mad is the inconsiderate humans who park near you and dent your car. I am more mad at the behavior, then the dent.

Thank you for the offer. Maybe we can meet up at a cars and coffee this fall and bring the RCF's. I say fall because I hate the heat. So when it's a little cooler.

Yes, totally can relate! This was last Friday at work, I always park way out there where no one wants to park because it’s a much longer walk to the gate. But this guy decides to park right next to me! Parking lot was empty!! And always is at this location as shown with my IS F.

I, like other here will park at the farthest spot and park next to a curb and move over as far as I can to maximize the distance between my car and anyone who parks next to me.

I know other here say they would not vandalize cars that give them door dings. May I suggest y'all get some sticky wheel balance weights and add some weights to their tires??? No damage, just makes them have to go get their tires balanced....XD

How about a note..."You left a ding in my car. I have photographed the area and your license plate. Expect to hear from my insurance company." You don't even have to follow up, just cause him/her some consternation about equal to your loss of equanimity.
