Default Interesting Suspension system question

I currently have the 2017 RC F w/ swift springs on stock suspension. Moving from the East Coast to the West, I noticed that a lot of the drive ways here require a front lift. Noticed that Stance has a cup kit and I am planning on getting that, but upon review, looks like I need to get a coil over set up. I enjoy the stock suspension on swift springs and don't want to lose out on comfort. I generally don't care about tracking the car... I bought a Lexus for the Lexus ride.

So.. what set up should I go for with the Stance Cup kit? Would I be happy with the CKS True Coilover setup w/ cup kit? Or should I go all out, get the Ohlins with the stance cup kit?

RR PENSKE are out of the question.

Thanks in advance for input.

Maybe, it is because of the AVS especially in non-SPORT+ modes, but the non-AVS RCF is stiff. Mine is a TVD one that comes with different rear springs as well. Thereis no "give" or travel over patches and bump. Not overly harsh, but definitely far from my other Lexus in terms of ride quality. I would not call it Lexus ride quality (again, maybe you are talking about non-SPORT+ mode with AVS). Having said that, if you go to coil overs, it gives great flexibility quite extensively in terms of rebound and compression so you could make it softer or stiffer.

I believe all of the 2017 RC F's come with the Adaptive Suspension system. I'm always running on Sport +. I'm just trying to figure out WHICH Coilover set up with the stance cup kit will give me the same ride as the stock suspension... in means of comfort. I'm not looking for performance. This is for Sunday Funday runs or just grabbing dinner.

Thanks

For the cup kit, I think you just need to find out what diameter springs it supports. Then find out of stock/swift will fit inside of them.

Thank you for your input. I was told otherwise, but I'll look into it

i had the stance kit on my previous 17 and posted about the install in the thread 'what did you do to your f today' iirc. you can do it clean in the trunk under the mat. ive only seen it paired with cks so can't help there. purchased from mod in japan so you could give a shout to them to see if they have experience with customers using the kit on non-cks coils and if yes which one. i found the cks coils to just be ok. have ohlins now without stance kit but didn't go too low plus angle in. also installed sliplo to preserve my oem lip.

the one thing that i didn't like about stance is the air will bleed out over time, which makes sense, but if the car sits there goes a pure cold start sound :P you'll hear the compressor airing up on a cold start. first world problems.

I figured the air bleed out issue to just be part of the territory. If it wasn't for the fact that there are huge drainage dips/lifts at almost every house around here, I pretty much don't have a choice (otherwise, my current set up of lowering springs with stock suspension makes me more than happy).

You said the CKS were just ok... Would you say that the Ohlins gives a closer to "stock" ride?

i'd say cks is like a mid grade coil and ohlins...well top shelf imo. ive only had ohlins on for a few hundred miles so it's early but love the ride quality over cks. both are aftermarket performance coils so when you hit bumps or uneven roads i feel the stiffness more than stock. i don't think anything will be as plush as stock under all road conditions but stock also doesn't give you the performance and adjustability that a fully adjustable aftermarket coil does. good luck.
