Default The good the bad and the ugly after 35000 miles. Bad first.

Daily driving 2019 build 2020 model year RCF.

Great daily driver and no longer sold in Australia. Dealer offered more than purchase price as rarity and popularity growing despite crazy fuel prices.

Quality is an issue.

Wobbly and rattling frameless window was fixed on passenger side, Required replacement of window regulator. Similar issue in driver’s side but not as severe. After visits to 3 dealers Lexus refuses to replace driver’s regulator as ‘within specs’. A Lexus shouldn’t sound like a 2014 Kia when you open the door.

Blown driver’s side shock absorber. Never been to a track. Daily driver.

Low oil warning light triggered a number of times.. Told it happens due to the incline of the driveway?

In the cabin, the cheap grey plastic of the centre console scratches easily. The seatbelt takes chips out of the door cards if allowed to retract by itself. Rear seatbelt buckle cuts into the leather. The centre arm lid lock rattles when pressure released.

Rattling moon roof which has been a problem in all of my Lexi I have owned. My suspicion is the rubber seal does not cope with the Australian sun. Seal shrinks and the moonroof shakes itself loose. The dealer knew the protocol. Replace rubber seal and tighten mounts.

Odd electronic glitch where digital fuel indicator ‘stuck’ on part empty. Had to reset system using a prius protocol!

Lexus would have fixed all these things as models ‘evolve’. I wonder whether there was some cost cutting from the 2014 to the 2020 upgrade.

More LC quality less camry please.

Have you guys ever been in a Ford? This is obviously a rich person’s conversation so I’ll be quiet.

Hmmmmm that's unfortunate.. Perhaps you got a "Friday car". Almost 100,000 miles on my car and haven't experienced a single one of the problems you have had. This has been the most reliable car I have owned to date, zero issues.

Maybe something changed with the 2020 models.

Hmmmm…doubt it. It may be your most reliable car but no problems at all at 100 000miles?!

My 3rd Lexus and each has its own problems.

Fortunately the excellent dealer support turns the frown upside down.
