2023 Lexus RCF
Hey guys. Lexus hasn't officially announced the 2023 RC or RC F yet. A couple months ago I sourced the 2023 RC owners manuals which showed that it'd be getting the same interior as the 2021+ IS but there was no info on the RC F yet. Luckily today, I was able to source the RC F manuals for 2023 and it too is getting the new interior. Here they are:
Lexus 2023 RC F, RC 300, RC 350 Navigation and Multimedia System Owner's Manual (OM24B26U)
Lexus 2023 RC F Owner's Manual (OM24B05U)
Lexus 2023 RC F Owner's Manual Quick Guide (OM24B17U)
This is a major improvement for the car as I always felt that the RC felt very dated in the interior. It is also good to see that you guys are getting an Electronic Parking Brake as it now means that those of us in IS land can use the 2023 Rear Calipers from the RC F and still preserve our EPB. Previously if we used the 2022 and earlier calipers we would have to forgo EPB and get a warning on the dash.

The major difference is the screen and the new electronic brake. The rest of the interior is pretty much the same. Not sure if North America is getting an RCF for 2023 as there has been no formal announcement.

NA will. This is all from the US TIS website it just has not been made public yet. Typically they come out 1-2 months before vehicle announcement. Weirdly the regular RC manuals were released about 1.5 months ago yet that has not been formally announced in the US

That is good, if it happens. Hopefully, RCF will get one last "hurrah" as it is relegated to the history books.

What's crazy is that there is zero mention of TVD anywhere in the manual that I just read.
Even the control panel has changed now.
The brake hold feature is now where the Launch button used to be. But there is no TVD button anywhere... Did they eliminate this now with the 2023?
Non TVD previous years (facelift):
TVD (facelift):
Why would lexus move the launch button only to make the "brake hold" feature so large? That's something that should be up by the dash...smh. I swear some of the designers or people looking over the car don't actually think at all on placement of buttons and or their proper function and where they should be in relation to the size of the button that is pressed.

The cf performance package with the face lifted models never came with TVD, it was a standalone option unlike the pre-face lifted versions which came with it. Option was around $1200 I think but you can add it to any face lifted RCF with no other options if you wanted.
They are really weird with options. I saw a base RCF, projector headlights with base wheels and no options but it did have TVD which was different.
I'm wondering if they removed TVD all together? No mention in it at all in the attached PDF. It will be interesting to see the touch screen. Part of me likes that but I also like it sunken into the dash on how it currently is. Now that it's up front more I'm not sure I will like that look. Too many cars now have a huge screen slapped on the dash and it just looks awful to me. I'd rather not have a screen at all, than it sticking out how manufactures are doing with the current trend.

It's actually come without TVD the last two years. TVD was a stand alone option for 22 and I'm pretty sure for 21 also. I just remember it being a factor that drove the cost of a replacement of my current 2015 loaded performance package car up to $93k if I wanted a face-lift model. Decided to just keep my current car.
Makes sense to remove it if the take rate of that stand alone option was fairly low.

That’s a good catch on the TVD. It is technically not a final manual so it could technically be added in later. But the fact that the manual as is has graphics already and it doesn’t show up, I’m almost certain TVD is gone for 23

I am glad RCF has one more year. I believe, the biggest reason for RCF being still alive, is the homologation requirements for the RCF GT3 car. Lexus said, the RCF GT3 will still be racing in the 2023 season and then will be retired making the way for the GR GT to take its place.

There's a pretty good write up in the IS sub-forum. Yes, it can be done. However depending on where you source the parts from, it can end up being pretty expensive. So it's one of those things most people deem "not worth it" and go with a replacement option instead (like Lexion).
