Anyone Track their RC-F Regularly?

To me it was just a preference between FIGS and RR. I didn't want a RED bushing drawing attention to Lexus if I had to go in for service.
Plus the install on the RR has you tighten set screws and then use a feeler gauge with none of that on the FIGS.
I watched a YouTube video of a guy removing his RR set to replace with the FIGS full race rear lower set but if I was seeking that level of zero deflection I'd be looking at full upper/lower arm replacement with solid bushings.
FIGS $360 / RR $348 if I remember correctly.

I do plan to replace them with FIGS though.

That would freak me out and I'd have it up on the lift immediately. I'm thinking that feeler gauge spacing issue or the torque of the 22mm bushing bolt itself (calls for 83).

I did not go with the red one. I went with the softer of the three options available from RR racing, which is the street version of the RR racing. It is still zero deflection and also mildly stiffer that stock so it SHOULD be what I really need as I don't really have any complaints with the stock bushings other than steering going a little vague for a split second going fast over freeway expansion joints etc.

There’s this misunderstanding among a lot of people that this car isn’t a track ready car because it didn’t go around a track as fast a M3 or whatever. This car is very capable of a track day from the factory. Driving there, rip on the track, drive it home, go to work the next morning, repeat. I did not track the F with the stock pads but they were very aggressive, very very dust and obviously durable enough for track. I tracked Tom’s pads and they were mint. Maybe the best money I’ve spent in the car and still cheaper tha factory! Your friends mechanic should have been able to tell that just by looking at the actual equipment on the car.

Car goes into the shop next week for track day event preparation. Luckily my shoulder has healed enough from surgery to enable me to drive by May 13th.
There is some sort of form that the shop will be completing that I'll have to submit to Barber Motorsports prior to the event.
Here are the parts ready for the shop to install

Thanks for all the updates, folks.
Short of an update, life hapened. I won't be pursuing an RC-F within the next 18 months or as soon as I had originally planned as I have been busy applying to grad school and received a few offers from several schools. As a result, all my RC-F funds will go towards my edumacation.
I'll continue to keep checking back in to thsi thread as this is still on my "want" list. Until then, I'm still going to continue doing my track days with the local Porsche club, albeit at a limited capacity. Keep sharing your updates. Loving all the info shared by this tight knit community!

Good luck! You made the right decision. School comes first. Being a Pro Engineer myself who devoted up to my mid-20s to doing my bachelor's degree (been working now for 20+ years) the money and cars can always come later, but schooling needs to be finished first to lay the foundation. Good luck.
Thanks for all the updates, folks.
