Japanese Orders for RC F Hit Sales Goals Out of the Park
Just posted this on the blog:
This past month, Lexus received 900 plus orders for the new RC F coupe. That's around 30 times the monthly estimate goal. That's frankly amazing, especially in a country that prefers Kei cars over normal cars. What's even more fantastic is that Lexus has also received an additional 1700 orders for the RC 350 and RC300h. That comes out to be roughly an additional two years of supply for the car.
Pretty rad!

Sometimes I feel companies are creating their own sensational press by setting a sales goal astronomically low. If 900 orders is 30x the sales goal, that means they were expecting roughly 30 orders? Given the hype of this car, all I can say is..."Reaaally....??"

Japanese market for Lexus is only a few thousand cars a month in TOTAL, and the RC is just a very small % of that among all the Lexus models, and an impractical coupe(and the most expensive F model) too, keep that in mind.
I don't think Canada (market size less than 1/10th of USA) can sell nearly as many per month. If it's 30 times that, that's quite a lot, which means they will have a long waiting list ......

That's the first thing I thought. I would think they could sell 30 per month in England.
